Suspenseful-Well Written and Engaging Cozy Mystery

Sometimes you’re in the mood to hear a cozy mystery that is suspenseful, well written and keeps you engaged from beginning to end. Very much in the spirit of a Hallmark Mystery or even Murder She Wrote.

This story fits the bill and is told in an engaging way by Lauren Pedersen who is a very talented narrator. Her voice is sweet and yet has a lot of authority as she expertly guides you through the twists and turns of the story. Lauren draws you into the suspense filled journey of our heroine Alisa Gosling from the very opening paragraph.

Lauren breathes life into the emotional rollercoaster that is Alisa’s life from the point where she accidentally finds the first letter, to her journey of both self-protection and self-discovery to her internal struggles as she tries to protect her life and her heart as she tentatively falls in love with sweet and protective Liam. And let’s not forget the suspense filled drama as the cleverly written plot evolves. The town of Misty Hollow is a delightful character all on its own and dear sweet, Mrs. Mayfield might be one of the best characters in the story.

Overall, this story is suspenseful without being graphic. The romance is sweet without being uncomfortably steamy and the story is written with just the right amount of clever twists and turns to keep you wondering…

A perfect read to take you away from your day to day.

good

It seems like a black cloud followed Alisa around where ever she goes. Can she beat the odds and come out alive? Entertaining and suspenseful. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Good story

Lightning Never Strikes Twice by Cynthia Hickey is a story with lots of action. Alisa Gosling seems to be a magnet for trouble and she has several people after her! Luckily, she keeps her wits about her and helps solve the mystery about all the trouble in her new hometown. The narration by Lauren Pedersen is very good.

Very well written and performed!

Great book. You fall into it quickly and stay engrossed the whole time! It isn't real mushy or in anyway inappropriate. Perfectly fine for the younger generation. Very clean. I have no doubts you will enjoy it.
