About this listen

Psychology professor and criminal profiler Taylor Martin prides herself on being able to solve any crime except the one she wants most desperately to solve - the disappearance of her father 20 years ago. When she finally has a lead on his whereabouts, Taylor returns home to Logan Point, Mississippi, to investigate. But as she works to uncover the truth, someone else will do almost anything to keep her from it.

Nick Sinclair pens mystery novels for a living, but the biggest mystery to him is how he can ever get over the death of his wife - a tragedy he believes he could have prevented. Now that his estranged brother is the only family he has left, Nick sets out to find him. But when he crosses paths with Taylor, all he seems to find is trouble.

Join the chase as Taylor and Nick search the murky shadows of the past for the keys to unlocking the present - and moving into a future they never imagined.

Family Secrets

JWright
Patricia Bradley outdoes herself in this narrative. The characters are well done and the storyline holds the reader’s interest.
The narrator has the accent conquered, even with the dropping “nt.”
During the last 4 hours, I couldn’t stop listening.

Predictable

Very predictable; semi murder mystery, somewhat romance. It was ok, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it to a friend.

Exciting

This book had me doing something that is almost embarrassing. I was driving down the road an anguished look on my face, my hands clenched around the steering wheel saying you can do it, yes it's the left hand come on you can pull it out. Oh my word, what can I say.

A really great book a must listen.

implausible

I liked the plot and the characters. However, I really dont like when authors pen implausible scenarios just to make their story work. For instance, having Taylor choose to drive alone, at night, with a storm coming and cell phone and no fas when there had already been attacks on her life. So I was annoyed and rolling my eyes during parts of the story.

Captivating

I enjoyed the story. The story was Captivating with great narration. I loved the lessons learned both spiritually and naturally. The twist at the end was perfect. First I thought I knew "who done it" then I was wrong, only to find out I was right :). Great Job, I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Down a long and twisted road. Many lives are just like that, until we get to the straight and narrow.

This is my first experience with author, Patricia Bradley. I really loved the plot and its direction. The characters were so alive and real. I can't wait to check out her other published books and more in this series.
Elise Arsenault was good but at first she sounded like she had a head cold and stuffy. Not the male characters just the female.
