Jack Knight-Snow has had a bad year for losing things. So far he has lost a ship full of ancient treasure, his family, his friends, his title, his lands and money, his fiancé, the century into which he was born...oh, and his physical body. Worse, feisty Chiara D’Angelo might just finish the job and make him lose his mind.
For her part, Chiara simply wants to help Jack get his body back and move on with his life. She doesn’t want to like his snarky humor or his gorgeous eyes or the way he accepts her exactly as she is. She’s a hot mess when it comes to romantic relationships. Case in point...she’s developing feelings for a ghost.
But tackling the problem of Jack’s ghostliness is not straightforward. Soon, Jack and Chiara find themselves embroiled in a mystery which creates more questions about the D’Angelo brothers’ gifts of Second Sight.
Set against the backdrop of Tuscany, Italy, Jack and Chiara race to uncover answers about the past before becoming history themselves.

Delightfully fun and swoon-worthy

Now let's talk about the narrators. The woman voicing Ciara was pretty good. The constant accent changes continue to be hard for all of the narrators, but she manages pretty well. She has only the occasional slip.
The male narrator does a nice job with Jack, and his voice is passionate and animated in all the right places (which was missing in book 2).
The best part of switching for entirely new narrators for each book is that you have the opportunity to hear each main character given a distinct voice.
The cons are that the quality of narration varies from book to book, and EVERY character gets a new voice from book to book. All three D'Angelo brothers show up frequently in this book, and their voices are nothing like the previous books. There's an adjustment period for the first part of every book in this series, and sometimes the voice seems just wrong because it is so different than their way off speaking in a previous book where they were the main character.
Ordinarily at this point we should go to Judith and Cesare's book, but I'm getting fatigued, so I'll go on to Tennison's, and the series ending. Bring on the tears in reality!
