Publisher's summary

In 1976, a mysterious "Inner Voice" spoke to Helen Schucman, dictating what would come to be known as A Course in Miracles - a spiritual classic that would go on to sell over two million copies and influence countless people worldwide. Those who study this 1,333-page course can struggle for years to progress through its resonant but often difficult-to-comprehend truths. Jon Mundy, who knew ACIM's founders, uses passages from the text to illuminate its teachings on subjects ranging from the self and forgiveness to health and the afterlife. His lively storytelling and in-depth knowledge will help listeners embrace the wisdom of this timeless text in their daily lives.

Dear Jon Mundy,

A course of miracles is an amazing book. However, it was too complex for my understanding. Listening your Review Living a Course in Miracles made it much more clearer and more understandable for me. I now have a burning desire to re-read the actual Course in Miracles. Thank you so much.

Content is a 5 - but performance is flatline

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - content is outstanding

What didn’t you like about Jon Mundy Ph.D.’s performance?

Mr. Mundy is extremely gifted - but reading his own book out loud is not one of his strengths. The content is so vibrant and rich, but the flat line monotone performance will be a huge impediment for many of the listeners who would benefit the most!

Love this!! Took a while to get used to narrator.

Where does Living a Course in Miracles rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Somewhere at the top :) I am obsessed with anything pertaining to ACIM right now and have listened to many of Marianne Williamson's audios. I wanted to try someone new and I'm so glad I did!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Living a Course in Miracles?

When this guy starts talking my first thought was "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? After a while it became "Hi! I'm Tom Bodet and we'll leave the light on for you!". For a while there I didn't know if I could listen and then I started getting his dry sense of humor and I began to love him! His kind of droning slow speech has totally grown on me and I love listening to him!

Which character – as performed by Jon Mundy Ph.D. – was your favorite?

n/a

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Any additional comments?

Love this book! Love this author! I will be looking for something else from him as soon as I finish this one!

Essential Guide Post

I listen to this audible reading in quiet moments, long car rides, and in the background while cleaning or gardening over many years now. Each time I listen, no matter how briefly, I am gently realigned with Loving Kindness.

Wonderful, Practical Isights to

Much kind and personal wisdom here. Insights and solid practical advice. My only other comment is that the delivery is a bit soporific: tends toward a monotone, not much animation. This may not even bother many people. It's very clear, slow, and deliberate. The content by far makes up for the lack in energy.

Why do Authors think they are narrators!?!

Would you listen to Living a Course in Miracles again? Why?

Yes for the content, the voice is agony

What other book might you compare Living a Course in Miracles to and why?

A course of course :)

Would you be willing to try another one of Jon Mundy Ph.D.’s performances?

Absolutely not. The books content is excellent, but the monotone voice of Ben Stien is torture!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Quite a few, but only in substance, the voice moved me to stop listening periodically!

Any additional comments?

Please! Don't ever narrate any of your own books again! A good author DOES NOT make a good narrator. Hire a professional I beg of you!

Life Affirming

This is the most helpful and thorough summary of The Course that I have ever come across. I am currently on exercise 324, but I stopped reading the text because, even though a masterpiece from another realm, Jesus forgot to speak as we currently do. The archaic language left me a bit lost at times, yet I realized that it was a piece of such importance that I had to find a way to better understand it. This book has made the concepts of the course accessible to everybody. Thank you Dr Mundy.
