Story
Beth and her gentle, kind husband Frank are happily married, but their relationship relies on the past staying buried. But when Beth’s brother-in-law shoots a dog going after their sheep, Beth doesn’t realize that the gunshot will alter the course of their lives. For the dog belonged to none other than Gabriel Wolfe, the man Beth loved as a teenager—the man who broke her heart years ago. Gabriel has returned to the village with his young son Leo, a boy who reminds Beth very much of her own son, who died in a tragic accident.

Story
To trace the history of the twenty-first century so far is to trace a history of unaffordability and shortage. After years of refusing to build sufficient housing, America has a national housing crisis. After years of limiting immigration, we don’t have enough workers. Despite decades of being warned about the consequences of climate change, we haven’t built anything close to the clean-energy infrastructure we need. Ambitious public projects are finished late and over budget—if they are ever finished at all.

Story
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Covers Everything You Need to Know!
I almost built a house off-grid on the Big Island of Hawai'i about 6 years ago, but I had no clue what I was doing. If I had this book back then, I would have felt much more comfortable giving it a go! It covers the basics of finding the right location, building an eco-friendly home, and renewable energy sources. Then, it dives into water sources, food sources, herbal remedies, and even how to earn money living off the grid. If you're seriously considering this move, make sure to have this book in your arsenal!

Great book
As someone dreaming of eventually living a more self-sufficient, off-the-grid lifestyle, this book felt like exactly what I needed. I was a bit daunted by the idea of generating income and building community outside of a traditional town or city, but the author really helped demystify everything. The chapters on remote work options and small-scale farming opened my eyes to all the creative ways you can make a living from your land. And the section on fostering local connections totally debunked the myth that off-grid living has to mean isolation. Instead, I learned about wonderful ways to build community with like-minded people nearby. This book gave me such a practical, inspiring roadmap for making my off-grid vision a reality, without sugar-coating the challenges. If you're at all curious about transitioning to a more sustainable, self-reliant way of living, I can't recommend this guide enough. It has me feeling more excited and confident than ever about taking that leap in the next few years.

As someone considering off-grid living in the next 5-10 years, this book gave me a practical and inspiring roadmap. The chapters on generating income while living off the grid were eye-opening, offering diverse ideas from remote work to small-scale farming. It made the financial aspect feel doable. I also appreciated the section on building community, which debunked the myth that off-grid living means isolation. Instead, it highlighted ways to create meaningful connections with like-minded people and local networks. This book made me feel confident that off-grid life can be sustainable, rewarding, and deeply connected. A must-read for future planners!

I really enjoyed the chapters on food production and preservation along with all the herbal remedies. I feel the prepares anyone with the steps and information to live on their own and choose what degree that means for them. So very interested in this and i gained alot of info to think about.
