About this listen
Percilla knew the journey ahead was inevitable. But the suddenness with which it came knocking was truly unexpected and certainly allowed no time to prepare. Thrown into bizarre realms amongst the eccentric and magical folk, Percilla must trust herself and follow her heart or get swept up in the madness all around.
As destiny would have it, Percilla, a young, naïve rebel, is struck by tragedy after learning of her family’s sacred oath. In order to save all those she loves, Percilla sets out on a quest for the mystical land of Rou.
Escaping through the barriers of her quaint little village, she embarks on an odyssey across the lawless, barren lands scattered with wildly eccentric characters. Some are allies, and some turn out to be foes.
Met with adversity by those who seek what she protects, Percilla must learn to rely on herself, even with her powerful allies at her side. For in truth, only she can save herself from who she may become and all the evil striving to enchant her mind.

A Great Winged One will soon arise and cast his fearsome shadow upon the land. And just as Night slays Day, and Day slays Night, so also shall another Black Witch rise to meet him, her powers vast beyond imagining. So foretells the greatest prophecy of the Gardnerian mages. Carnissa Gardner, the last prophesied Black Witch, drove back the enemy forces and saved her people during the Realm War. Now a new evil is on the horizon, and her granddaughter, Elloren, is believed to be Carnissa's heir—but utterly devoid of power in a society that prizes magical ability above nearly all else.

Story
When Kara Westfall was six years old, her mother was convicted of the worst of all crimes: Witchcraft. Years later, Kara and her little brother, Taff, are still shunned by the people of their village, who believe that nothing is more evil than magic…except, perhaps, the mysterious forest that covers nearly the entire island. It has many names, this place. Sometimes it is called the Dark Wood, or Sordyr's Realm. But mostly it's called the Thickety.

Story

WONDERFUL!
If you haven't had the chance to read this book, get this audio!
If you have read this book, still get this audio!
Seriously great series to get into. Especially if you like stellar story with lots of magic, fantasy, action and adventure! I have read it and love it!
It is so awesome getting to rediscover one of my favorite series!
I don't really do audio books, but was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this is and how "easy" it is to listen to (even while multitasking)
Also, shout out to the narrator with the pleasant voice that did a great job! She delivered a very suitable amount of enthusiasm, drama and mysterious vibes etc. as well.
If you're a busy bee and don't have time or motivation to sit and read, don't let that make you miss out on this fantastic and inspirational adventure!
Give it a listen, and let your imagination take off! You won't be disappointed!
