What a Treat!

Being a Southern girl having grown up in a small town, this book was filled with events and people I could strongly relate to. It was a light read but thought provoking, also. A real delight!

Small towns have deep and moving tales to tell.

The story-line was complex , yet easy to follow. The story itself was NOT predictable. the characters lives were a rich and deep tapestry of life, loss, happiness and sorrow.

For anyone who’s ever lived in a small town

Cute summer story. Totally relatable for someone who’s ever understood how small southern towns operate. Perfect for spring cleaning!

Just a great book!

I loved this story. It is one I can recommend to my teenage daughters without worrying that it is too provocative for them.

Wonderful Story, Wonderful Reading

I read the story and enjoyed it so much that I bought the audio for my husband to hear on road trip. I enjoyed the audio even more! The narrator was perfect!

Not what I expected but........

I finished this book only because it was a book club selection. I am pretty sure I would have stopped an hour or two into it and then would have asked for my credit back. It uses religion as the basis for the entire story. That in itself would be a turn off to me, but I stuck with it. I actually began to enjoy the book and thought religion was intertwined nicely. Predictable? For the most part yes but a nice relaxing read. Characters are people that we all probably have in our normal lives that we can truly relate to.
