Beth Hoffman
The latest New York Times best seller by the beloved author of Saving CeeCee Honeycutt.
Beth Hoffman’s best-selling debut, Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, won admirers and acclaim with its heartwarming story and cast of unforgettably quirky characters. Now her flair for evocative settings and richly drawn Southern personalities shines again in her compelling second novel, Looking for Me.
Teddi Overman found her life’s passion in turning other people’s castoffs into beautifully restored antiques. Leaving her hardscrabble Kentucky childhood behind, Teddi opens her own store in Charleston. She builds a life as unexpected and quirky as her many customers, but nothing alleviates the haunting uncertainty she’s felt since her brother Josh mysteriously disappeared. When signs emerge that Josh might still be alive, Teddi returns to Kentucky, embarking on a journey that could help her come to terms with her shattered family - and find herself.

"Hoffman has a good ear for dialogue, and Teddie and her friends are realistic, appealing characters. Perfect for fans of family-centered women’s fiction, this book will have special appeal to readers interested in antiques and 'shabby chic' style." (Booklist)

Is there anything you would change about this book?
I wish the story would focus less on the depressing disappearance of the main chcaracyer’s brother and focus more on her passion for antiques. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I enjoyed reading about the charming southern scenery and the different characters in the south. The narrator’s voice is very firting! The least interesting aspect to me is the depressing details about the missing brother.Which scene was your favorite?
Anything that pertains to the antique shop activities is my favorite scene. Descriptions about the hobby of refurbishing antiques sound passionate.Could you see Looking for Me being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No - I think it is best to keep the story as a book to read.Any additional comments?
This book is a good one to read or listen to. The narrator did an outstanding job portraying all of the characters. Her voice is pleasant.Southernly Charming
