About this listen
Love Happens Like That is a book that speaks about adolescent love and the surge of emotions that come when one is passing through that age. The adolescent years in an individual's life are a time when numerous transformations and transitions take place. Adolescents aren't kids anymore, but neither are they adults. This book captures the situations that occur when an adolescent falls in love.
The story revolves around two main characters, namely Ritesh Garg and Aarushi. Ritesh is a person who thoroughly enjoys whatever life throws at him and lives in the moment. Aarushi, on the other hand, is serious about life and hails from an orthodox family. Despite being so different from one another, Aarushi and Ritesh are drawn towards one another in a manner that they cannot explain.
Their romance blossoms with a little help from their friends, but they are too immature to be able to handle their emotions, and things take a turn for the worse when it starts affecting their studies at school. All these lead to further problems at both their homes. The two of them, though, manage to put all these things behind them and move successfully towards a better future.
This novel by Ritwik Mallik speaks about those exciting yet confusing years of growing up when one becomes too involved in the moment and is unable to deal with personal emotions.

Story
Willow was like any other teenage girl until a fatal car accident left her an orphan with the ability to see ghosts. Relocating to live with her grandparents, she hoped to lay low to survive the rest of high school and maybe figure out the whole "seeing the dead" thing. But with ghosts popping up in the middle of class, Willow was struggling to keep the gossip at bay. No one thinks you're normal when you get caught having a one-sided conversation alone.

Story
Bunny girls do not live in libraries. This is simply common sense. And yet, that’s exactly where Sakuta finds one in the wild. More bewildering is who the bunny girl is: Mai Sakurajima, a girl one year older than Sakuta, famous at their school for her acting career even though she’s currently on break. To top it all off, it seems like no one else in the library can see Mai at all, no matter what she does or...wears.

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is 12 hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that.

Maddy is a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother, host of excellent parties, giver of thoughtful gifts, and bestower of a searingly perceptive piece of advice or two. She is the cornerstone of her family, a true matriarch...until she commits suicide, leaving her husband Brady and teenage daughter Eve heartbroken and reeling, wondering what happened. How could the exuberant, exacting woman they loved disappear so abruptly, seemingly without reason, from their lives? How they can possibly continue without her?

Every morning, A wakes in a different person’s body, a different person’s life. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere. It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply....

I needed you. I needed you to tell me I was beautiful. I needed you to tell me it was all going to be okay. I needed you to be with me. To love me. To protect me. I needed you - but the sad thing is you didn't need me. You didn't want me. You never cared about me. And when you gave up on me, I gave up on me, too. I lost myself because I found all my self-worth in you. And when you left me, I left myself, too. Now I'm left wondering, could I come back for me?
