Prepare for late chapters Christian Evangelism
The first roughly 10 chapters provide excellent insight into effective management strategies. But, I was very disappointed how outwardly faith-focused the final chapters became. If this will bother you, as it did me, skip the last 2 chapters. They are more of a summary than anything and spend way too much time trying to convince listeners of Christian teachings.

Refreshingly practical and stories that bring to life
This book has practical insights for becoming a better leader. I’m already using nuggets in my own leadership and the leaders I mentor.
I am blown away with Joel’s story. He’s achieved some of the highest levels of success this world has to offer, and he models humility so well.

Amazing
My heart was touched by reading this book. The sincerity of the author can be felt in this book. I truly believe what he is sharing with the reader he believes in his heart. It's rare to see this, and it's a unique experience that will influence your life if you open your heart to what Joel is sharing.

Beneficial
Admire the author’s courage to share some deep personal and emotional stories that can happen when the DO Goals become more important than the BE Goals. Making promotion, growth, position, title etc more important than values, relations, teamwork etc can be lead to disaster. It can destroy the relationship with those closest and dearest. I rank this book 5 out of 5.

Great read!
As an enneagram type 2, this book was profoundly helpful to me. Too many books tell you what to do and aren’t candid enough to tell you how the author failed, messed up, and persevered in their field. The trick now is to apply it.
