About this listen

Best-selling author and spiritual leader Lorna Byrne teaches you to have more compassion and love for yourself and to see the love all around you - perfect for those who have gained insight from such best-selling authors as Louise Hay and Doreen Virtue.

Lorna Byrne sees angels and speaks to them every day. She sees so much more than angels, though: She sees love as a physical force, emanating from those she observes. In this inspiring book, Lorna reveals what angels have taught her about love and how we can unlock the love stored within all of us. While we can't destroy or diminish this love, we can release more of it and love others and ourselves more fully.

With her unique insight into love, she has also created a seven-day program with exercises you can do each day in order to have more self-appreciation. By the end of the program, you will not only feel more love in the universe, but you will also have a greater understanding of yourself and your inherent inner power.

True to Lorna's style this is a living experience that changes how I approach life and therefore how I experience it. I've found so much more understanding and coping ability because of realizing more of what this life experience is all about and how it works.

Thank you again Lorna for another wonderful and healing book. Seven days of how to love yourself more are very helpful. We can all make this world a better place by starting with loving ourselves.

The importance of the self love

As with all Lorna Byrne books, this one is soothing and positive and healing overall. But, also as with Lorna Byrne's other books, despite her outward statements otherwise, this book in places is unconsciously specifically Christian or unconsciously biased towards a Christian filter. She says in one chapter that specific religion doesn't matter, that no one religion is correct and that everyone has the same god and also asserts at the same time that Jesus is the son of god for everyone (and she doesn't seem to be aware of the fact that she is asserting that Christianity's perspective is the true and correct perspective by asserting that Jesus is not like other humans but is a special son of god). She describes "the Queen of Angels" as the "mother" of god, something that might make sense from a more Catholic perspective where god as Jesus was born to a mother, but is a proposition that could not exist from a Jewish or Muslim perspective, for example, where there is one unified creator who does not also have a parent. Nor would it likely make sense from a Taoist perspective. Similarly, in another book she insists that evil/darkness is Satan (consistent with her Catholic upbringing). Yet, despite these shortcomings, if one chooses to see through her unconscous cultural filters, she expresses a lot of valuable wisdom.

Overall Positive, But Unconsciously Christian

I loved this book so much, that I listen it to it again and again. The first time I listened it is like my cob webs in my minds were swept away to show what truly matters in my life. I felt like being cleansed from delusions, resentments and false beliefs. that is why I return to this book every other month or so to remind myself that the most important thing is love!

Amazing reminder for what important in life
