Publisher's summary

Clean and wholesome historical western inspirational romance.

Maeve Fitzpatrick has always been brave. Moving from Ireland to America was just a big adventure to her, but the reality has turned out to be so much less than she imagined. Living in grey and dreary Pittsburgh is hardly her dream come true! But she is not one to ever give up on herself - or her goals - and so she places an advertisement to find herself a husband, eager for the opportunity that another change of scenery might bring. But there are obstacles to face that she has never considered, obstacles she cannot change alone.

Jesse Fountain has a great job working for a man he admires and respects, and, after many years of wandering, has finally found the place he wants to call home. Faith Creek has welcomed him with open arms, and he has found well enough that he wants to build his own home and fill the rooms with a wife and children. But his past is always lurking, always threatening to resurface. Will he ever allow himself to take the biggest risk of all? To leave it all behind him and allow himself to love and be loved?

Sweet Historical Romance

I love the great variety of the books in this series. Even though the men are friends and they live in Faith Creek, each story and characters are truly different. I enjoyed the narration even though it didn’t sound very Irish for Maeve’s voice.

Another sweet book in this series

I enjoyed yet another book in this series. The author does a good job at creating quick and easy books to listen to and or read. I liked the characters and enjoyed their story. I would listen or read another book by this author. The Narrator did a great job as well. I have enjoyed our journey together in each of these books. I would listen to anything read by him. I would recommend this book and all the others in this series to those who enjoy short and interesting historical romance books.

Maeve's Destiny

Mail Order Bride-Maeve's Destiny (Faith Creek Brides #8)
Karla Gracey

Clean and wholesome historical western inspirational romance. Refreshing to listen to a book not filled with foul language and sex. The story of how two different people come together to form a family.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Alan Taylor.

Another satisfying listen!

These nuggets that Karla Gracey provides are so much fun to listen to. Perfect length for a walk and it gives a warm satisfying feeling when it's over. This book introduces Maeve, a woman from Ireland trying to find her way in America. She is a seamstress(with a sewing machine!) and enjoys her craft, but is looking for more. Rather than find an ad for a mail-order bride, she places one herself for a husband. And here she finds Jesse in Faith Creek. Jesse is a carpenter with a secret. He is looking for love and has Maeve come to Faith Creek to see if they will suit. Will their match be one made to last? The secret may be too grave for a happily ever after, but you will need to listen and find out! Alan Taylor will lend you his wonderful voice to see what what will happen!
