A Romantic Comedy

Fiona Cantrell is a woman on a mission. More aptly put, she's a fairy godmother on a mission. Her dream of moving to London is about to come true now that all that stands between her and her new job is a few unpacked suitcases. Or so she thinks until her old boss shows up with one more little task for her to complete before she leaves for Europe. Her new assignment involves a handsome cowboy named Cody, his two rascally nephews, and a mountain of laundry...all of which would be no problem for any self-respecting fairy godmother.

While Fiona manages to handle the laundry and the boys, she quickly learns that she's not immune to Cody's considerable charm. It takes everything she's got to stay focused on completing her task so she can head to London. But when tragedy strikes, Fiona realizes that it will take more magic than she has to try to save a life and mend her own broken heart.

If you could sum up Magic Wand Ranch in three words, what would they be?

Author Caroline Mickelson did a wonderful job combining Fairy Godmothers and Cowboys in this unique story. I love the characters; especially Fiona, even when she is clueless she charges ahead with a calm determination. The relationship between Fiona and Cody is very sweet. Even though there are some magical elements I could really see all the mishaps really happening especially when the two little boys are involved.

Narrator Leonor A Woodworth does a lovely job bringing the story to life. She has a clear joyful voice.

This is an easy quick read that will bring a smile to your face. No bad language, sex or violence in this book. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a short book with a little sweet romantic comedy.

Yes, it's almost always more fun to listen to a book and usually helps you get a better feel for the story and characters.

The scene when the boys tried to prove Cody loved Fiona by making him think she was hurt.

Fiona. She was the character who went through the most changes.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book however the reader needs to understand that the story is very quick, the plot not terribly developed and sort of rushed, and the wrap up tidy. I generally enjoy stories that are much longer and have a deep, almost convoluted plot line. This is definitely not that type of story.

MAGIC WAND RANCH was a light-hearted , refreshing listen. It was fun and enjoyable and worthy of five stars. Fiona's plans to go to London get diverted because she's needed to do one more task from her old boss Liam. This was to babysit the two sons of a friend Bethany named Mitchell and Brian. Meanwhile Bethany's brother Cody, a pro cowboy has been looking after them and is surprised when she shows up. He has a big rodeo coming up and doesn't want to admit that he needs help with the boys. But there's a catch for Fiona.

I loved what Fiona did with the ranch as well as her new palomino horse named Glitter Girl. That was neat.

I thought this was a clean, cute listen with great characters. If you like this type of story (and I do) then this is a good one. The author CAROLINE MICKELSON did a super job writing this with Fiona being a fairy godmother and Cody whom she ends up falling for.

LEONOR A. WOODWORTH'S narration is brilliant. She nailed the characters as well as set a good pace for the story. With her voice, she was perfect for this book. She has a wonderful pitch with great voice inflections. She made it a super fun listen.

Magic Wand Ranch is a cute short romantic story involving a bull riding cowboy, Cody, and a Fairy Godmother, Fiona. The story is a boy meets girl setting infused with two young boys adding mischief and disasters. Cody and Fiona's story left me smiling & all warm & fuzzy on the inside. Looking forward to the next story. The narrator also did a fantastic job with providing each character with their own voices.

This was a cute fun read. It's short but has a good story line and relatable characters. While Fiona is a fairy godmother, she still has to handle disasters just like the rest of us. I enjoyed it very much.

Magic Wand Ranch by Fiona Cantrell is a short romantic comedy that will make you smile, if not chuckle out loud. The story centers around Fiona, a Fairy Godmother who is getting ready to move to London. However, before she leaves, she must complete one more task. Fiona is assigned to help out Cody, a handsome cowboy, with his two young and rambunctious nephews while their mother is out of town. It goes without saying that Cody and Fiona have an instant attraction to each other. The rest of the story is filled with fun and frolic as the group travels to a rodeo event where Cody will compete and try to win a lucrative sponsorship deal.

I listened to the Audible version of this book narrated by Leonor Woodworth, who did a great job. She clearly differentiated between male and female voices and the younger nephews. She also changed the tempo in her performance when warranted. I received a copy of this audio in exchange for an unbiased review.

What a Fun story to listen too. It was easy paced and flowed naturally. I loved everything about it. Leonor A. Woodworth did a wonderful job as narrator. I like how she differentiated between the male/female and younger nephews voices. It was very easy to follow the story and know who was speaking. I will definitely be reading more o Caroline Mickelson's work.
