Sasha Evers was a history major from Boston who kept herself to herself and often struggled to make ends a meet.

So when a lucrative opportunity came up to be the pretend temporary bride to a mysterious British man she simply could not turn it down. The money was life-changing.

However, Sasha really had no idea what she was letting herself in for.

The man she was set to be the pretend bride for was a billionaire called Landon Carmichael and this meant her life was about to change more drastically than she could have ever imagined.

Love It, Love It, Love It

What did you love best about The Billionaire's Fake Bride?

Sasha is immediately likeable, and while Landon took a minute to grow on me, I came to loving the pair. Their growing relationship, and the struggle felt very genuine. That feeling on authenticity and sweetness is what won me over.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how driven Sasha is, and that she's a smart woman with real goals.

Which scene was your favorite?

The resolution at the end in 100% my favorite. I'm not crying, you're crying.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Smart idiots, fake marriage, real love.

Any additional comments?

The narration is excellent. They don't make it explicitly clear that the story is beginning in England, but it becomes apparent quickly. Great plot, excellent characters, and effortless storytelling. I highly recommend this audio book. This is a voluntary review of a copy gifted by the writer and voice talent.

Review

This was an okay listen. I kept looking for some kind of spark but the story kind of fell short. The narration wasn't too bad.

Good romance

Where does The Billionaire's Fake Bride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was a nice romance, maybe two sex scenes ! I'm more of a paranormal romance reader so I consider this a light read! Good story ,nice characters.

What does Connor Brown bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I prefer audio and he had a pleasant voice

Enchanting story.

What did you love best about The Billionaire's Fake Bride?

I loved the story overall. Its a cute story and it has a happy ending and made you want more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sasha was my favorite character in the book. I loved that she was nerdy in her own way and that she did her own thing and yet was able to realize her mistakes in the end.

Have you listened to any of Connor Brown’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have never listened to Connor Brown before but I am in love! For me, he's right up there with Tom Stechschulte right now. He just needs some work on voices a bit of work with pronunciation of words for my tastes.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There was a moment that moved me towards anger. The best friend seems like a manipulator and that made me mad. She seemed like she wanted to sabotage Sasha's relationship and keep her to herself.

Any additional comments?

This book is a cute story that's worth a listen to. There isn't much to complain about it and a long list of reasons to enjoy it. If there was only one thing I could tell someone about this book it would be, its worth the time to listen to it. Its an engaging book that you will want to listen to till the very end.

Romance

Book was alright. She took too long to get to sex scene. Needed more sexual tension. Nigel needed a love interest in book. A flirtation with Val or someone else

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This book has a really good story line. The characters are funny. Overall good escape story. You won't be disappointed.

How could the performance have been better?

The narration didn't match the characters name. Sometimes a little too much emphasis

Cute, fun and entertaining

Any additional comments?

This was just a fun and enjoyable story. A little more lighthearted romance without a major amount of angst. Perfect for those days when you want a good story without constant drama. Don't let the lack of major angst and drama throw you off. While the plot may be a bit predictable it's an entertaining and enjoyable story with enough little bumps and twists to keep the story interesting. It's reminiscent of a Pretty Woman type scenario.

How far would you go to get a little peace and quiet? A little slice of normal? There are actually people in the world who have no idea what celebrity is who. I'm one of them. Which made the story that much more plausible and fun for me.

While there is an attraction between Sasha and Landon that first kiss starts off a chain reaction of desire and want. When the attraction builds a simple business arrangement becomes a much more unexpected and intimate affair.

While there is a little bit of steamy romantic goodness it is not a major part of the story and is no where near (thank god) anything resembling Fifty Shade which is referenced in the synopsis.

Instantly likable cast of characters that are fun and interesting. Sasha, Landon, Nigel and even Sasha's "dream team" were all great characters.

Connor Brown did a great job with the narration as usual. Nice voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. The narration is clearly spoken with a nice smooth pace. Enjoyable slight English accents. Great character voices. Even his female voices were good. Gail's voice was grating and annoying but it fit her character, so it was perfect. He was able to bring the characters and story to life. Very enjoyable

A little slow

What did you like best about The Billionaire's Fake Bride? What did you like least?

Lena is very good at setting up her characters and describing them throughout the story. She is very descriptive which can be good but it also makes the book very long at times.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

To me the story was a little slow and it either needed something to help add to the storyline or it could have been shorter. There were a couple twists but to me they were predictable so I didn't feel that drawn into the storyline.

Could you see The Billionaire's Fake Bride being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I can because it's a romance story that is setup perfectly for a movie...girl needs money, she agrees to be a fake bride to a star and they fall in love in the end. It's a classic "chick flick" as many would say since it's what many women would love - to fall in love with a Billionaire/movie star by chance.

Fun Ride

I received this book for an honest review.

I love the twist of using the marriage of convenience trope.

I do like that Sasha wasn't presented as a naive woman waiting for someone to show her the world. Landon may have introduce her to new things, but she handled them on her own terms. My favorite moments was at the Cannes Festival when she blew a kiss to the fans. It shows she can handle herself in any situation.

As for the romance, it got predictable at times, but the characters are enjoyable. I wish we had more of Landon's point of view throughout the book.

A pleasant surprise! Really enjoyed this one!!

What did you love best about The Billionaire's Fake Bride?

It was just a nice escape from my day to day life. Although the narration didn't quite fit with the characters (the accents were a bit off), I still found it pleasant to listen to. The story was whimsical and enjoyable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Sasha. She was likable and I enjoyed listening to her journey. I actually liked all of the characters except for Val. She didn't seem supportive at all and quite frankly, I wanted Sasha to call her our for being so negative about the whole relationship.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really enjoyed the whole entire book, but I think my favorite scenes would have to be when Sasha and Landon were in Cannes for the film fest. Just enjoyed that entire part, though I enjoyed it all!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I'm not sure what the tagline would be, but it reminded me of Pretty Woman in terms of Sasha being taken from a "normal" woman and essentially having all of her dreams (even though they weren't perhaps her dreams in the beginning) coming true. I definitely recommend it!
