About this listen

When you separate the religious dogma from the symbolic nature of Christianity's ultimate rebel, who really is the Devil? Kate Freuler presents this infamous figure as a symbol, not a deity, and reveals how you can use this radical philosophy to strength yourself and your witchcraft.

The Devil represents rebelling against all-powerful, oppressive systems of any kind. Through historical references, religious writings, and even pop culture, this book explores the intersection between witchcraft and the rebel archetype. Kate dispels common myths, providing examples from a variety of texts and personal stories about her own connection to this misunderstood symbol. She also shares rituals you can use for self-empowerment. From the Devil's relationship with the old gods to the foods associated with him, this book invites you to see this controversial symbol with new eyes.

how can you write a book about the Devil in Witchcraft and not once mention the folkloric Devil? this book is how. with a focus solely on Satan and Lucifer the author manages to avoid the folkloric Devil all together. the title is quite misleading as satan should have been used rather than the Devil.

The Devil with a total focus on Satanism
