About this listen

Runaway bride Katya Dostoyevna escaped to Nocturne Falls 10 years ago. She’s lived a quiet life since then, establishing a much-needed animal sanctuary. It’s good work for a shy witch who prefers to talk to animals, both supernatural and mundane.

Scorned groom Danil Leonov has finally tracked down the girl who fled from their arranged marriage. He doesn’t want to marry her any more now than he did then, but she left with something he desperately needs. The fate of the fae world depends on it.

But he’s not the only one after the microchip he developed. And after he and Katya connect, Danil starts to wonder if it’s the tech he really wants or the woman he didn’t realize he loved.

Short but very sweet story that has a great finish and brings back my favorite characters from nocturnal falls books.

Nice Addition

This is a nice addition to get some Nocturne Falls feels, even though not actually by Kristin Painter. There are name drops of actual characters to round out the experience, and this story was interesting in that they were pen pals of an arranged marriage that neither wanted but remained friends, then finally meet in person due to some strong feelings of danger/protection. The story shows many different kinds of magic, is full of action, and filled with animal appearances. Short & sweet with a lot compacted into an easy listen. BJ Harrison always performs at 100%.

Way better than expected

Sela Carsen has written a story that is way better than expected. The characters are well developed and easily seem like friends. B. J. Harrison gives a stellar performance as he brings it all to life. If you enjoy cozy paranormal stories, then this one’s for you.

Another Great Hit in Nocturne Falls

Love the way Sela Carsen pulls us into Russian lore with intense excitement, tension, love interest.and education about facts and myth that aren't in very many books. This book has everything and it definitely fits in our beloved Nocturne Falls Universe. And of course our enjoyment of the story is further advance with B.J. Harrison doing his ever fine narrating with the emotions, the accents, words and urgency he brings to it.

Although this is not a full blown novel in length, it brings the enjoyment of one. It is the kind of story you don't want to end and hope there will be a follow up story with those characters introduced in this story that have become a member of all of our dear friends of Nocturne Falls that have a place in our hearts.
