About this listen

Sorcha dún Scoti has known her whole life she is different. Now, the future of her clan is in doubt, and Una, their beloved seer, is gone. The youngest dún Scoti inherits Una's keek stane - and with it, the gift of sight. Here, the truth of her birth is revealed. Betrayed by her kinsmen and seeking answers, Sorcha must journey to a remote Island in the Outer Hebrides, where she hopes to reunite with Una. But despite her gift of sight, the truth holds perils Sorcha cannot foresee....

Stricken blind by his grief, Caden MacSwein has sequestered himself like a beast in his castle by the sea. It is whispered that he slew his own brother and now is cursed by the gods. When a maiden from Inverness arrives on his shores on the eve of the summer star, he soon sees with his heart what his eyes no longer will. But to restore his sight, Caden must ken his blindness comes from within...or he cannot save the maiden from the mist from the danger that pursues her.

Rich with history and lore, Maid of the Mist continues the story that began with Highland Fire and left off with Highland Storm. This is book 4 of the Guardians of the Stone series.

Well done - thank you

This is my second time listening to this series and I enjoyed every book even more. Well written and narrated. Thank you for all the hard work on character development and bringing in previous characters. Most authors seem to forget characters of the previous stories. I do like mixing them altogether.

Do you believe in GUARDIANS?

I truly do not how to describe this story but I can say that I loved every minute.
We have a laird who is a decedent of Vikings and North Sea Scots.
During a raid by another clan he accidently beheads his younger brother and as a result becomes blind.
Enter a young maiden, who just happens to be the last Guardian.
This story is so well developed and the characters so complete that I felt as if I were a part of the story; it was so exciting.
I love this story and so will you.

Thank you, Tanya Anne Crosby.

Truly Enjoyable

I loved the character of Sorcha dún Scoti and the mystery of Una's characters and how they are connected. I also enjoyed Caden's character as well and the issues he was facing when Sorcha came into his life. I hope there is another story in the wings.

Loved it so much I flew through the series!

I read through this series so fast, that I LITERALLY can't tell one book from the next. I just remembered I loved it all so much! Sorry to post the same review to each book in the series. It just molds together in one story! Loved it! Read it! You won't be disappointed! The men are epic! The women are smart and strong! The writing is gorgeous!

Okay....THIS book I DO remember standing out because I spent the whole series adoring Sorcha! THIS WAS GORGEOUS!!! I told my husband about parts of it and the love of my life quoted bits of it back to me in our pillow talk! *SQUEALS* Such a gorgeous story with a perfect ending!!

A good and easy flowing storyline. Not a very "smutty" book. (Im not into that sort of thing).
A wonderful tale of Scottish Folklore and Culture.

A Great Listen

I loved reading this book & when I was gifted with the audio book from the author, was thrilled. James Gillies makes everything he reads come alive...I just couldn't turn it off...I knew Sorcha's story would be special & it was better than I expected...a great listen!
