About this listen

Raising kids and building families is tough these days. We live in a broken society that celebrates sin and minimizes family relationships.

Is it possible for Christian parents in today's society to raise emotionally healthy kids who love God and are equipped to do God's will for their lives?

Yes. Emphatically, yes.

God has entrusted you, as a parent, to care for and raise your children for him, and he has given you the resources you need for the job. Specifically, he has given you his word to guide and his grace to enable.

That doesn't mean it will be easy or that it will happen on autopilot. It isn't, and it won't. The truths presented in this audiobook are not parenting hacks - tricks to have well-behaved kids. They are principles studied from God's word, tested in the laboratory of the author's home, and applied to the challenging topics and multifaceted responsibilities today's parents face.

In this audiobook, discover what it means to invest in your children and how you can bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

So Good I had to buy IT

I started listening to this book when it was free here on Audible, but I liked it so much and I want to be able to review it later that I chose to buy it. The author explains each point very well. I like that he gives homework assignments or practical tips to implement. This is a very good resource for new parents who want to raise their children Biblically.

Helpful

Great book on parenting children and teens! There are some pauses in narration. Sometimes I thought it stopped playing. Just some lengthy pauses.

Great, even late in the game!

Pastor Chappell's insight and practical illustrations are a help even to those who have older children. It's never too late to learn and improve parenting (grand-parenting) skills. - from fellow-laborer and friend for 35 years.

Helpful Family Counsel

I enjoyed all the practical advice about raising a family. Wish I had this book before my children we adults, but I still learned and will be able to share with my church.
