The Word of God is awesome to listen to

great for listening to, commuting, or just getting ready for the day. If you struggle reading the Bible like I do it's a good way to get your scripture in.

The Bible is the greatest Book of truth so it must

The Bible is the greatest book of truth so it must be narrated with care. There are too many slipping of words on the part of Mr. Jones. Adding in words that was not before him. I want the audible narration of The Bible (KJV), to be KJV period. The bible is more than a five star but the narrator did some disservice.

Standard Narrating

The narration is nothing spectacular. James Earl Jones, I love him, but he whispers his narration. We have in audible a wide selection of narrations of the bible, so it is easy to harshly judge a narrator's effort in comparison of others. I use this book to fall asleep because the tempo and tone of voice remains the same with few moments of inflection from both Jon Sherberg and James Earl Jones. If a listener prefers more aesthetically pleasing narrations of KJV, perhaps looking somewhere else. But I am still delighted the narrators gave their voices in support the Holy Bible and Jesus Christ.

Anomalies

Audio anomalies in the reading of the N.T. otherwise I'd given 5 stars on the performance.

Darth Vader read the New Testament! Pretty Wild!

This is definitely the best book EVER written. I LOVE the author. I'm a Christian and a big Star Wars fan, so I was excited when I heard James Earl Jones say, "LUKE." Seriously though, he's a classic voice actor with whom we're all familiar. I want want was not familiar with the guy voicing the Old Testament, but it was 1 credit for just The New Testament, and you could get the whole Bible for 1 credit, so they basically throw in the OT for free. He did a good job as well, though. I like to read along in my Bible as I listen, because it's enlightening with the pronunciation of names, etc.
