Four = Fabulous!

This is the fourth book in the Hannah & Tamar Mystery Series. I really do love these stories and the fact that it shows how harmful cyber bullying can be. My only issue is the girls are 'too sweet, too kind, too everything but especially... too perfect'! They need a little mischief in their lives. Even so, it's a fabulous book! As always, the narrator, Julie McCarthy, did a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life. You can't go wrong with any book written by Christa Nardi or narrated by Julie McCarthy. I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review & I look forward to listening to more books by both the narrator & the author. sisters plus present parents equal good story.

How delightful it was to listen to a story about sisters who get along, are service oriented, have strong morale and family values. all this and a mystery to solve. I enjoyed this story from first sentence to last. Thanks for an evening of good reading. if I had a teen I think I'd suggest they listen to this. real life has real consequences no matter who you are!

Kid-Friendly Mystery

4 of 5 stars Malicious Mischief by Christa Nardi and Cassidy Salem
Narrated by Julie McCarthy
A Hannah and Tamar mystery
Run time: 2 hrs and 8 min
Genres: YA, mystery, cozy
Summary:
Somebody is running around schools and local businesses setting off smoke bombs. Somebody is also being mean to others online (cyber bullying). Miles asks Hannah and Tamar to help him out. Somebody has been harassing his sister. He’s trying to turn over a new leaf, but some people aren’t making that easy.

Additional Comments:
- It’s cute.
- I like the cyber bullying angle.
- A lot of the conversations were odd dinner conversations with the family. Their dad’s reaction to Mile’s name was just bizarre.
- I’m not sure if the repeated references to the mother making a wonderful dinner was supposed to be a compliment or odd ritual but it came up like 2-3 times in a 2-ish hour book.
- The story had a satisfying conclusion.
- Felt like the girls did more to solve this mystery, that was nice.
- Wholesome, traditional family values.
- Some hints at romances.

Conclusion:
Another entry in a kid-safe mystery series.

Mystery Solved

Malicious Mischief is Book 4 in A Hannah and Tamar Mystery by Christa Nardi and Cassidy Salem. I thought that this book could come straight from today's headlines; High School mischief and cyber bullying. Hannah and Tamar have a solid home life with parents that are involved with their life and school. A few of the "cool" girls began a club about parties and if someone gets on their bad side, they are bullied on social media and at school rumors are spread. At the same time, A group of high school students are placing smoke bombs in buildings and High Schools. Hannah and Tamar are trying to help Miles discover who is targeting his sister and he asked the sisters to help him. I thought that Malicious Mischief showed the struggle that is caused by bullying as well as how mischief can turn serious.

good Y A mystery

Setting aside that these parents and teens are textbook perfect model citizens, I think the dad is overboard in his strictness and rules. The girls are freaking angels!!! That said , I do think the girls are great role models for any young adults reading these stories. They're smart. kind, and helpful . This was an interesting storyline and covered some pertinent issues of today. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Great Contemporary Cozy Mystery

I really enjoyed this fourth book in the "Hannah and Tamar Myster" series. Hannah and Tamar are drawn into a mystery which involved social media and secret societies. The subject matter was very contemporary. The storyline was clear and easy to follow. I liked the sisters, their personalities, and their values as written in this tale. Julie McCarthy's narration was fine, and she set the correct ambiance with her performance. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Cyber bullying & secret societies

This is the fourth in the series and the first I have read or listened to. This is a good young adult book. It deals with bullying, social media, and learning to deal with others. It also dealt with the lack of thinking trough your actions, which caused a death during one of the smoke bomb attacks.

Overall, this story fell flat as I am not the intended audience. It’s been a long time since I was a young adult and social bullying isn’t an issue for me. I felt the writing was not as strong in as in the other series that the author writes.
This was a good attempt at addressing the issues that young people face today. I can only be thankful social media was not an option in my youth.
