Hard truths

Brilliant book. I was literally yelling out loud mad and then laughing all at the same time. The writing and storytelling is perfect. I want every foster caretaker to read Louis Allen’s books!

very good

I am a Jehovah s witness so it's strange to hear about it in such a negative light. but hey we all have different experiences. mine was nothing like hers. I had a good childhood. but it's great how louise puts you in the person's shoes. how they are feeling comes across so strongly. and I'm so glad things get better at the end. I don't want to ruin it for anyone but it's nice the under dog in life gets another chance to shine.

Amazing author

the 1st book I listened to I didn't really understand her format but now I'm hooked. I always admired her good heart and beautiful soul for fostering. after reading her personal experiences of her foster care I really admire and respect her. the story telling is well rounded and gives perspective for all the characters. Louise is an extraordinary human being . I will continue to support her. I don't know many people who could not only thrive after but turn their brutal upbringing into something so tender and beautiful. just wow!
