Publisher's summary

He didn’t want me then.... Can I risk my heart now?

Twelve years ago, I thought Mason could be the one, but he wasn’t ready to be tied down, especially not to an omega like me. And when my brother’s sudden death left me raising his little girl, I had to forget all about the man who refused to be there for me. I never expected to see him again, and I couldn’t dream that I’d be his mate. Mason wants to try again, but this time, it’s my turn to reject him.

But the adult Mason is 100 times more considerate than the guy I knew in college, and even though I should protect my heart, I can’t help but start to open up again. Maybe, it really is time for a second chance.

Even if we are ready to give it a shot, a lot of things have happened in the past 12 years. And when our relationship is tested, those years might be too much to overcome....

Loved it!!

I wasn't fond of Mason in the beginning of this story! I loved River from the beginning. It took a little time for me to "grow some affection" for Mason. I loved the second chance and forgiveness in the story line. Overall I loved the story! Loved the whole Timberwood Cove series actually. Mark Stilwell did a great on with the narration.

Friends and maybe more

This series is so good. I enjoyed listening to Mason and River, there story had many ups and downs and many regrets but they finally got it right. They do become a great couple but they worked hard to get there. The narration was good.

Second Chances

This is a pretty good story about forgiveness and second chances. Mason's biggest regret in his life was driving away his best friend and fated mate River because he was afraid of the commitment and responsibility. Now years later he has to convince River of his sincerity and clear up the misunderstanding that has kept them apart. The narrator is also good. I
had not heard anything by him before but he has a good voice to listen to.

Mason & River

Mason really hurt River years ago but now he wants his mate back! Mason and River have a strong connection but after all the pain Mason caused River years ago it’s not going to be easy for him to prove to River that he’s really changed and regrets his past actions. I really like this Mason gives River space and time to see how much he’s really changed and tries to revive the friendship before anything else. The narrator did a great job with the characters and the story. I
voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook

good listen

I hate second-chance books. Don't know why they're just not my cup of tea. I can count on one hand the few I have actually liked and enjoyed. Mason's regret is one of those few. I really enjoyed this book. My heart broke for the pain Mason caused these two charters in the beginning. I wanted to choke him. I am pretty sure I did yell a time or two thru out their story, which is what made it such a good book. I was so emotionally connected to the charters and their story. Mark did a great job with this book. I really enjoy listening to his voice.

Another Timberwood Cove home run

I love this series and this book is no different. Mason was “the one” in River’s eyes but he was too immature and a party boy to settle down. One day River’s entire world turns upside down and he gains custody of his brothers infant daughter. 12 years later he finds himself back in masons world and Mason is finally ready to settle down. But River now Has to consider his daughter - is Mason’s change of heart enough? Narration is fantastic and this entire series is a must read

Stands alone

Normally I am series in order kind of reader/listener but for some reason I've been all over the place with this series and I can say they are truly stand alone so you can jump in anywhere. There are mentions of other couples but no overall connecting story. I enjoyed this one it's a great 2nd chance, I appreciated that while it's not instant forgiveness it also wasn't overly angsty or drawn out and I really liked the narrator I think Stilwell did a great job with it.

Captivating

This story got my attention from the first chapter, I was very intrigued with mason’s and River’s story. It’s book number 10 in the Timberwood Cove, a second chance story, but it can totally be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed the ups they both had and rooted for them when they had downs. I loved the little girls of the pack and how they brought past couples into the story line. Warning if you read this story you will want to read the others too!
