Publisher's summary

Her number number one rule: Don’t get involved with a dragon.

Dakota was finally going to be studying Art History abroad at Bangor University in Wales. It was a dream come true, everything was going to be perfect. Or so she had hoped. She knew about the dragons of Snowdonia, how couldn't she? The whole world knew dragons existed ever since The Occurrence. It's been years since then, but the one golden rule of the university was never get involved with a dragon or face immediate expulsion. She knew the consequences, and yet...here one was, standing in front of her in all it's glory and looking hotter than ever. This was going to be tough.

Wesley was a bit of a show off. To be fair, he was flying home when he heard the girl gasp. His beast took control and flew straight toward the pretty little vixen. There was something different about this woman, he couldn't quite figure it out. And when she rejects him, his attraction only grows. One way or another, he will have her.

Content Warning: This book contains lots of sexy shifter action. Intended for a mature audience only!

Good Story, Narration needs work

This was a good story. I loved it! I may purchase the ebook version of this because I can’t get through the narration. Lots of stuttering, ums, odd pacing and jumbled words that ripped you out of the story. There was some quality issues that could have been fixed if they’d just gone back and re-recorded those parts. But I will dat the narrator’s inflection is great, voice is not boring at all. I think with practice, she’s going to be a phenomenal narrator.

Will make you want a dragon of your own !!

Loved the storyline and the characters. Love at its finest. Strong and possessive yet tender and caring...yeah we all want that in a lifelong partner.

Overall interesting world

The author creates an interesting world where dragons have their own territories but can only venture out 1 day a month into the humans territory in search of their mate. The dragon sees its mate on the outskirts and breaks the law to find her when she returns to the city. He saves her when she gets drugged at a bar and a breath away from being a rape victim. They get to know each other but eventually returns back to human territory where a dragon in disguise realizes she is a mate she is set up as a trap to give the Guardians an excuse to wipe out dragons for breaking the treaty in place. I enjoyed the book. The narrator needs to slow down just a slight bit her reading because otherwise I had to rewind in some places so I could make out what she read. Otherwise she has a nice voice and definitely not monotone. I think the author could lengthen the book a little. Flesh out some of the areas. Good example one second she is asleep in the claws but I don’t ever remember hearing when she woke up. She just went on with the story as if she never was asleep.

White vs Red

What a great beginning to a series I can't wait to "hear" more of! Ms. Johnston does a nice and believable narration so you have all "feels" to make it real!

So much promise

Story had potential but narration was so bad that it was hard to finish. Female narrator had a more feminine voice for the dragon than the actual narrator's voice. She could have put more effort in . The story was too rushed even though it had elements that were potentially good. Do not waste money on this one. Others in series may be better but I hesitate to try them now.

Wale’s?

Well, apparently everyone in Wale’s has an American accent, that’s strange.
I think this story would be pretty good if you maybe read it but I’m pretty sure even the book isn’t written with the proper accent. 🤦‍♀️
