Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Filled with helpful tips!
I found this book so helpful! I particlarly liked the part about working through anxiety before a game as that is such a common feeling. And i liked the tips for bouncing back as that can be hard to do with all the pressure to perform! I would recommend this book to any young athlete!

Mental Strength That Changed Everything
I wish I had this resource during my high school soccer days! The anxiety before big matches used to hit me so hard I'd feel physically sick. After implementing these techniques with my 14-year-old daughter, who was ready to quit basketball due to performance anxiety, I've seen an incredible transformation. The simple focus exercises have become part of our pre-game routine, and she's playing with newfound confidence. What really clicked for me was learning how to turn setbacks into comebacks – something I'm even using in my own work life now. For any parent watching their young athlete struggle with the mental game, this is the playbook you need. It's made our car rides home from games so much more positive!
