Publisher's summary

Emelyn LaClaire was honored to be the maid of honor in her best friend's wedding, but it came with a catch. She has to walk down the aisle with her ex-fiancé, Lawson McCoy. He's not just the best man; he's also her best friend's brother, and she's loved him since she was eight years old.

Emelyn has avoided any kind of contact with Lawson since the day everything fell apart during her sophomore year at the University of Alabama. Now, after four years of avoiding him, she's not just seeing him, she also has to walk down the aisle with him - the one man she dreamt of marrying almost all her life....

Lawson McCoy only has a single regret, and it's throwing away the one thing that was good in his life. When his sister, Delilah, and her fiancé, Grayson, asked him to be the best man, it came with a stipulation. Do not in any way mess up their wedding. That's easier said than done, especially when the one girl who would rather stick hot pokers in her eyes than look at him will be walking down the aisle beside him....

Everything a second chance love story should be and more!!!! Slow start but thats because it keeps going back and forth to give you the backstory. It is worth it stick with it... the middle and ending is the best!!!!

Sweet

I thought this was a great audible! The story was sad, sweet, and about second chances. I've seen alot of bad reviews on the male narrator but I thought he did a great job. Under the circumstances of the story line, he sounds aggressive and kind of worried for a good reason. He's been through alot. I thought he did a great job portraying Lawson. Tracy Marks always rocks!! Love her. She was the main reason I started listening to this. Great story overall.

wonderful love story

i really liked the story. I listened to it in one day. I'm all about happy endings. of course, it always helps when my favorite narrarator, Tracy Marks is reading. I listen to all of the books she reads. i hope the remaining books in the series come out on Audible soon.

Excellent southern love

I enjoyed listening to this story. I don’t usually like Tracy reading style but she did good for this one. Highly recommend!

Loved this

I really enjoyed this one. The love story of the main characters was amazing. There is always a roller coaster with young love. I was so happy they came together and worked things out. A story that was very enjoyable to listen. The narrators did a great job!

Narrator😤😤😖😥

OMG the male Narrator KILLED this book for me. Idk what it was about this guy he sounded so angry even on parts that he shouldn't have. As soon as his part started I was like WTF Ok give it a chance, but it just seemed as if it just got worse. I will never purchase any other books that this guy Narrate, but Tracey Marks is awesome.

Irritating dialects, angsty story

I am not into self inflicted angst and emotionally immature characters. The heroine supposedly has a Christian background but doesn’t try to forgive and move on as everyone else has. I was going to give it more of a chance, hoping for character growth but gave up when the POV changed.
The narrators’ dialects might be real but Noel Harrison’s sounds exaggerated. It was the deciding factor; I stopped the story and am sending it back.
