About this listen

Miss Julia masterminds a makeover in New York Times best-selling author Ann B. Ross' latest installment in her popular series.

It's summer in Abbotsville, and Miss Julia has visions of enjoying a life of leisure. But before she can even sip some iced tea on her front porch, a letter from her long-lost cousin Elsie informs her that Elsie's granddaughter is on a bus headed to Abbotsville that very day. Reminding Miss Julia of an old family debt, Elsie proclaims that she is sending Trixie to Miss Julia's to learn to become a lady. The nerve of some people! When the rude and unkempt Trixie arrives, even Sam and Lloyd agree that Miss Julia faces quite a challenge. Meanwhile, Sam has decided to run for state senate. But when he has a fainting spell and has to go into the hospital for tests, who will run his campaign? Is his no-good rival going to cakewalk into office? No sir, not if Miss Julia has anything to say about it - and indeed she does, including up on the stump.

In this marvelous addition to the popular series, Miss Julia is sure to have a summer that she - and Abbotsville - will never forget!

Such fun!

This wonderful slice-of-life story about Mrs. Julia Murdoch, or Miss Julia as everybody in Abottsville, NC calls her, is an amusing, clean romp with friends neighbors and family. When an unexpected guest is pretty much dumped in her lap, Miss Julia’s proper Southern training and hospitality kicks in and unexpected adventures, misadventures and challenges ensue. A good-hearted story and a terrific narrator, you’ll enjoy this lovely audiobook.

Miss Julia Still Going Strong

Another riotously funny book by Ann B Ross. Even after so many books about Miss Julia I have not tired of the characters. I often wonder where she gets the unusual plots.
The narrator, Cynthia Darlow is a master of all the characters voices. Her voice for Lillian and grand daughter Leticia make you feel like you are right there in the kitchen with them.
Eagerly awaiting next years installment.

Miss Julia almost meets her match!

I have listened to every book in this series. All of them have been well worth the credit. Miss Juia is a marvelous example of a Southern lady---only we know her real thoughts and rationalzations. This time around yet another relative arrives in her life to cause mayhem and hilarity. I often garner people's attention when listening anywhere I can be observed--chucking or laughing at yet another of Miss Julia's unusual situations. The characters in the books are well defined and the narration makes each character easily identifiable. Amusing story with great narration make this a well spent credit.
