About this listen

>[?Devan Windsom has a problem. Someone's trying to scare her into selling her coffee shop, Artist's Grind, only weeks before Christmas. But Devan doesn't scare easily. The shop is her life, and she's proud of her coffee and the locally-made baubles she sells.

Mac Fergerson leads a solitary life - the only one he wants after being maimed on his last tour of duty. Unwilling to get close to anyone, he can't help his interest when he walks by Artist's Grind and sees the curvy, irreverent brunette cleaning graffiti from her shop window.

When the sparks start flying, will Mac turn tail and run? Or will he stop hiding from the world and take a chance at something special this Christmas?

I love this sweet novella. The main characters are great. Mac and Devon are both strong, and they share an undeniable chemistry. The storyline has also a little suspense. This is a short story well developed. The narration is well done. I enjoyed my listening.

Sweet Holiday Novella!

Patricia Eddy is one of my favorite authors. She writes such wonderfully broken heroes with heart and I can't get enough of them! This novella is a great story with strong characters and plenty of steam. Devan and Mac are brought together under suspenseful circumstances and I really enjoyed how each of them came out of their shells - together.

Brooke Bloomingdale brings all of the characters to life with her great performance! At just under 2 hours this is a sweet novella that takes place around the holidays. Definitely recommend!

Wonderfully broken hero - great performance!

I didn't read the reviews or synopsis for this book before starting. I was just looking for quick holiday reads. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it grabbed my attention and I had to finish it in one sitting. The spicy scenes were icing on the cake haha I wish this was more than just a novella as I fell in love with the characters and would love to see more of them. The narration was superb. She did a great job swapping between voices and accents.

Spicy Novella

This romance could have been set at any other time of the year because there were no Christmas events or descriptions. This works fine as a standard romance if you like stories about scarred military veterans protecting women. The veteran focus is almost greater than the romance. This could have used another hour to give the couple a chance to get to know each other beyond the bare-bones plot of someone threatening her shop.

Sweet, but not a Christmas romance
