Action -Packed

From beginning to end so much happens as the crew races to solve the mystery, catch the bad guys and save everyone. There are twists and turns adding to the angst. The main characters from the other books remain constant; Kristin, Alex, Julian Olivia and Gabriel. I learned more about vampire history and fears.

Alex Black voiced this story so well. in my mind I felt like I was watching a movie in my mind.
I highly recommend this series if hot vampires are you thing?

better with each book in the series

This series keeps getting better with every book! This story was so well written and had a great mix of suspense, romance, drama and sex. My only complaint is how it ended (I’m still team Jules, what can I say?) but I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here

Brilliant Story, Series & Cast of Characters! 🎧📚🎧

I am loving this series, the characters are awesome and the storylines continue to be amazing. Stacy Eaton is a gifted author, she created fascinating and imaginative characters and storylines and made them realistic and easy to relate to and connect with. This book is just as captivating as the first three, maybe even more. All the characters from the previous books appear in this book plus several new ones. Kristin, as always is the star of the book, or rather the Queen. She and Trent are happy and expecting their first child. She is a full fledged vampire now though a young vampire she is stronger than ever and continues to learn new skills, some that are very surprising to the senior vamps. She is still with her police department working the pm shift. When her friend Olivia disappears she finds out several other women have disappeared too. She knows who is behind the disappearance and with the help of the VMF, Vampire Military Force, a team of investigators and enforcers who go after rogue vampires. They set out to find Olivia and the other women and find out what they are using the woman for. Angelina, an unlikely ally or sill foe, returns Olivia but she is in bad shape. Because of dangers they bring to society It is against vampire policy to turn humans in to vampires, but they are forced to make a decision. Trent does not like the choice they make and runs off. Angelina fills them in one what Burke was aiming for and that Leo and Fitz are still working on. But can she be trusted or is she setting them up, will Olivia go rouge. But they are forced to take a leap of faith when Mickey, his wife and Trent are all taken. There is a whole lot of story in this book, it is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. In addition to all the drama with the rogue vampires and what they are intending to do there is relationship drama for Kristen, Julian is there by her side pleading his undying love to her. My heart broke for him. Gabriel is right there for Olivia, he stood by her side and did what he had to do. I loved how it all plays out, learning more about the vampires, their dynamics and different powers. This book has it all, it is an awesome mix of several genres, an entertaining work of fiction that will suck you right in and hold your mind hostage for the entire book. Stacy Eaton, thank you for this awesome story and series. I am looking forward to what comes next for these amazing characters, especially Jules, he needs his very own forever love.

Alex Black is a terrific narrator and voice performer, he continues to bring these characters and their stories to life. He is going a great job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving them their voices and personality, as well as heart and attitude. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Loving this series!

Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better. This book integrates so many of the characters, answers some questions and even gives us some new ones. Olivia would like nothing better than to be turned so she can be with her friends, and boyfriend Gabe. But turning a human into a vampire is not allowed. When she is captured and brought back to her best friend, Kristen(love this strong woman!), the unthinkable has happened. Alex, Trent, Gabe, Julian, Kristen and Olivia are caught up in twists and turns, with so many surprises I was completely engrossed in the story. I love the bond between these characters, and no matter the circumstance, they come through....except now, I am wondering what will happen next! Stacy Eaton has left me with questions that she needs to answer soon! Exciting, horrific, suspenseful and loving, this series has it all.

I love that the same narrator continues the story. Alex Black has become these people for me, and I know exactly who is speaking. I enjoy his story telling and look forward to their next book!

Great addition to the series

Audiobook Thoughts…I have become a fan of Alex Black, narrator. His tone, the emotion he projects, and the way he can bring a story to life has me looking forward to listening to him tell Stacy Eaton’s Mixing the Blue Blood. There are many characters in this book and the way he can change his voice to bring the characters to life make the story come to life as I listen.

Book Thoughts… There is a lot going on in this story. This is the fourth book in the series and you definitely have to read or listen to the ones earlier in the series to know what is happening. The characters are all intertwined with each other, the storylines for each run into each other at every turn, and the new characters keep the story fresh. I love how it all comes together perfectly and even with all that is going on it is easy to follow the story.

There were a few times that I felt it got repetitive. When different characters retell what was happening at a certain time I felt that it was maybe a little too much of the same story but I still enjoyed getting the different perceptive of what was happening.

I recommend picking up your own audiobook copy and losing yourself in Alex Black’s voice and Stacy Eaton’s story or picking up a print book and finding an amazing vampire story.

A twist of events

◦ I've received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 4,5 stars ◦

Well, the 3rd book ended up with Kristin finding that she is pregnant with Trent, who apparently is Alexander’s son. Considering Alexander is a very old vampire this makes sense, but what didn’t make sense for me is how everyone forgot to mention that until it was way too late.

The book takes a turn so twisted that it makes you wonder – what is going to happen next. It does makes you hooked on the plot, because it gets so intriguing and so complicated and full of drama and if you love some drama from time to time then this book really delivers it.

On the 4th book we’re getting all of our characters back but also some new ones: Olivia and Gabe. Throughout this book the action focuses more on Olivia and Gabe and the events that happen around them. Olivia is Kristin’s best friend and she is human, Gabe on the other hand is a vampire and is part of the Vampire Military Force and he really takes the rules of their academy very seriously, but in the same time he has never expected to fall so hard and fast for a human woman.

After a night out Olivia meets a new vampire called Leo and instead of staying away from him, she starts flirting and even almost starting a fight with Kristin about her perfect life and how she’s in control of her life. For some reasons she’s falling so hard that she doesn’t care on going with the vampire. Eventually Kristin convinces Olivia to follow her home but while she’s getting ready to leave – Olivia disappears and no one can find her. Days later she is found near Kristin’s house with her neck broken and this is where things go south and fast. She is becoming a vampire and in order for her to keep her humanity in check is to bond with the vampire that claimed her – which is Gabe.

Once she is bonded with Gabe there’s a twist of events that you haven’t seen it coming. Leo the one who kidnapped Olivia apparently is building an army of human turned to vampires because they can control the elements like fire, water, air and earth.

This time the book peaked my interested way more than the previous 3 ones mostly because of the twist of events that kept on happening on and on and also the funny moments and silly banters between the male vampires who are clearly in love over their heels with Kristin – even tho she’s about to be a mom and bonded fully with Trent. If the other 3 books contained some sex scenes and very detailed, this one was more mild and not very detailed. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against sex scenes but I feel like if they’re overly done the book looses the essence of the story, but this wasn’t this books case.

The narrator did a great job as always to bring each character to life. If at the first audiobook I was confused of who is who based on the narrator’s voice, this time things are way more easier for me. The difference in intonation makes a great difference and even if you get more pov’s you don’t get lost on the transition.

This is the fourth book in the My Blood Runs Blue Series, a fantastic paranormal vampire romance. You have to listen to this Series in order for a better understanding of this amazing world. The cast of characters is impressive. I loved to follow Kristin, Alex, Julian, Trent, Gabe, and Olivia in their journey. The storyline is suspenseful, filled with action, intrigue, and shocking twists and turns. There is a lot going on in this story. Alex Black did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next installment, Blue Bloods Final Destiny.

Great Read

Mixing the Blue Blood (My Blood Runs Blue #4) was another great read by Stacy Eaton. Olivia has been Kristin's best friend for many years and enjoys living with Kristin. She loves her relationship with Gabe but she knows that it is bittersweet because she's a human. Gabe is in the Vampire Military Force and never expected to have intense feelings for a human. Olivia is kidnapped and they stumble on a human trafficking ring, only it's not a sex trafficking ring. It is to destroy the breed. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Stacy Eaton.

with each new installment we get more....

We take a new adventure with one of Kristin's closes friends. Olivia gets her chance to show more of what she had come to be to the group of characters we have come to know. Gabriel gets a larger stance in the stories.

Olivia and Gabriel find they have commonality within a world one knows little of and the other knows all too much, good and bad. Olivia finds that her life is in much danger just from her friendship with one and the budding one with another. Deleving deeper into the seriousness of the world surrounding the Blood Runs Blue gang.

Alex Black is back to bringing the characters to life with clarity. I have enjoyed all of Alex narrations. Again a thank you for the vivid imagery created by his voice and Stacy's words. Another layer to the world crafted with deeping interest created with each new installment.
