About this listen
A fierce lass and a bold warrior; both wish for glory, but love finds them first.
While other lasses dream of handsome Highlanders, Molly wishes for nothing more than to make her adoptive parents proud. She'll never forget that Logan and Gwyneth Ramsay, famed spies for the Scottish Crown, saved her from a lifetime of servitude. So when Ranulf MacNiven threatens the Ramsay clan yet again, Molly is determined to catch him for her parents. There's only one problem. The Grants have sent a group of guards to help search for the outlaw, and one of them - a handsome, braw lad who makes Molly's heart pound faster - is as intent on gaining glory as she is....
For years, Tormod Moriston has longed to prove himself to his sire. When his laird asks him to join a mission to capture Ranulf MacNiven, he's certain the opportunity he's always yearned for has arrived. But naught goes as planned. Molly Ramsay, the daughter of the man helming the mission, is as kind and comely as she is fierce and cunning. Tormod is tempted to open his heart to her. But Molly longs for the same recognition he does. Will loving her mean giving up his dream?
When MacNiven makes his cruelest attack yet, Molly and Tormod must work together to take down Scotland's most elusive villain - and each must decide what they want most: love or glory.

Lady Eve Sotherby dreams of escaping her horrid life in England, yet she has nowhere to run. So when she spies a posting for a companion in the Highlands, she seizes the chance to disappear. She’s heard tales about the barbaric Highlanders, of course, but no one can be worse than the beast she once foolishly agreed to wed. And never mind that she doesn’t meet any of the requirements for the position: must have no family, must love the cold, and must know the healing arts.

Breathtaking
Keira Montclair has brought us the wonderful, emotional, saga's of the Grant and Ramsey families. Her characters have become like family. Molly's story is no exception! Working in conjunction with Paul Woodson, they have brought us not only an outstanding novel, but an awesome narration performance. I listened to Molly's story all the way through in one sitting. Just didn't want to put it down. The book tells a wonderful love story, while the audio book brings the characters to life through the vocal talents of Paul Woodson and his gift for the Scottish speech and correct pronunciation. It was most enjoyable.

Couldn't finish it..
Molly’s lack of confidence and Tormod following her around like a lost puppy are just too ridiculous. And for Molly to have NEVER looked at her own reflection in her 27 years because her real father told her she was ugly is ludicrous and for her to be soooo uncomfortable in a dress was just too stupid for words. And, oh yeah, here’s just a few of the players in this book: Sorcha, Gwen, Logan, Jamie, Jake, Braden, Coll, Art, Magnus, Ashlyn, Brigid, Maggie, Gavin, Torrian, Lily, Bethia, Jennet, Quade, Brenna, Davinia, Ranulf, Gregor, Bearchun, Shaw, Lyall, and I don’t know how many I might have missed. That’s a lot of characters in a 200 page book. I was lost too many times.
I did like a few of the other’s in the story but I just couldn’t like Tormod or Molly. They were flat and dreary characters. Nothing at all to like. There was nothing alpha about our hero. His brother was mean to him growing up and his father always took Lyall’s side so all he wanted in life was to be better than Lyall at something and make his father notice him. Really? That’s nothing much to strive for, in my opinion.
Anyway, at 35% I quit. Too boring and too many characters.
I have no idea if there was sex, but there was none up to the point that I quit, and definitely no swearing.
As to the narrator: Paul Woodson was this entire book had going for it. His voices were good and he read with lots of emotion. I would definitely want to listen to him again.
