Publisher's summary

As your parents age, you may find that you want or need to broach the often - difficult subject of finances. In Mom and Dad, We Need to Talk: How to Have Essential Conversations with Your Parents About Their Finances, you'll learn the best ways to approach this issue, along with a wealth of financial and legal information that will help you help your parents into and through their golden years.

Sometimes parents are reluctant to address money matters with their adult children, and topics such as long-term care, retirement savings (or lack thereof), and end-of-life planning can be particularly touchy. Informative but redundant

Very informative book but I found the author was repeating ideas and suggestions throughout the book.

On the other side of the talk

I heard about this book on NPR along with some appropriate timing in my own personal life while a friend is working with siblings to place their mother in a memory care facility. I decided to purchase this book and share with my children so I can be prepared for the questions and use this book and its resources to better plan for my life events as I age into retirement or need long term care. Thank you for sharing real life events to help me and my adult children understand sacrifices we make as parents and decisions made during some difficult times.
