Must Read
This is a must-read for anyone looking to take care of their aging parents. Full of facts that are totally helpful. Helped me realize the quilt I have been feeling is normal and happens to everyone. It covers a section on taking care of yourself during this trying time which is great and which we overlook at that time. Highly recommend this book to everyone, from someone that has been through caregiving. I wish I had this book then.

Timely gift of knoledge
In recent years, my sister and I have discussed the best way to care for our parents as they age. Luckily, they are in good health, but we realize we will have to take on caregiver roles soon. This book has been an enormous help, as it guides us through the many practical and emotional aspects of caring for an elderly parent. It emphasizes maintaining a positive relationship between caregivers and the elderly, which is essential in this work. Reading through the chapters has given me much faith that my sister and I can provide our parents with love, support and understanding during this particular time in their life. I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Very Informative Book!
I know how to handle aging parents well because I was a caretaker for my mom who passed away from dementia recently. It takes a lot from the caretaker’s patience and dedication. I connect with the author and feel her pain. I think everyone who has aging parents should read this book. This a great resource book! I highly recommend it.

Wish I had found this years ago
I really wish I had found this years ago when my son was caring for his grandfather on his father’s side. He got no support from his father aunt or uncle and really beat himself up because he felt like he could never do enough. He put his life on hold for nearly 7 years and now feels like he’s accomplished nothing with his life. Cynthia’s book would have been a godsend to him during a very rough time. She provides a ton of resources and guidance on how to achieve some balance while caring for an aging loved one. She also gives you permission to have a bad day and helps you find ways to find some enjoyment and fulfillment while caring for your loved one. I highly recommend!

Great book
My dad is 80 now and needs our help.
I could totally relate to the feelings of guilt you feel when you leave an ageing person by themselves or don’t always give them the attention they need.
His book has made me realise I’m not alone and has given me some great strategies for coping with these feelings. I particularly liked the way it also focuses on how to manage the more difficult situations
Great resource
