About this listen

If money is emotional, then why do we persist in trying to manage our personal finances logically? We already know what it takes to become financially healthy: spend less than we make, pay down our debt, and save more money. Money management books, tools, and techniques abound, yet most of us don't utilize them. Maybe you've adopted the practice of ignoring money problems until they are barreling down on you like a tidal wave, as I once did. I know what it feels like to be drowning financially.

I'd like to propose a better alternative, one that doesn't require you to eat beans and rice or to spend hours updating budget spreadsheets. My approach to personal finance is called "mindful money management." It is unique in that it harnesses the power of your emotions, so they can propel you forward like a rocket booster towards your preferred financial destination. Yes, money is emotional, but you can prevent your heart from hijacking your wallet. Let me show you how.

The first financial book I ACTUALLY followed

I've read or listened to at least a dozen financial books. I don't make it through at least 3/4 of them. but I LIKED this one.

The stories resonated, the advice made sense, and the emotional reasoning struck a cord. I've already made a few changes that are so easy, they're bound to stick.

Highly recommended!

this is a great read for those of us that struggle with making emotional money decisions or have callousness in our hearts due to money mistakes we or family members made.

Great Information

I have read a lot of money books. but none that help you understand why you do what you do. this book had helped me dive deeper. and suggesting to listen through once, and go back after to do the exercises is extremely beneficial . it also encouraged me to work together with My husband and thats pretty huge.

Like listening to commercials

Narration is so off putting that I couldn’t finish the book. She is a professional but the style of narration is like a commercial or a good morning America segment with advice. It makes it sound very shallow. Lots of advice and problems is US specific and doesn’t apply to rest of the world
