Hinckley, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, one cannot lose hope.

Story
There is a voice of longing inside each woman. We strive so mightily to be good: good partners, daughters, mothers, employees, and friends. We hope all this striving will make us feel alive. Instead, it leaves us feeling weary, stuck, overwhelmed, and underwhelmed. We look at our lives and wonder: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? We quickly silence that question, telling ourselves to be grateful, hiding our discontent—even from ourselves.

Can a simple concept shift your entire world? Bob certainly thinks so. When it comes to loving your neighbors, instead of focusing on having the “right answers” or checking the “right boxes”, what if you decide to simply do love? To shamelessly show love and grace to those around you—what would that look like? Not the kind of love that stops at thoughts and feelings, Bob's love takes action. Bob believes Love Does.

Story
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

Powerful
Al, the author of this easily-relatable memoir, narrates her work with authenticity and flare. Her voice is like magic, but more of a happy, everyday type magic. Her story was so precious. I am proud to have made her as a new friend this week--even if just through my car speakers! Thanks Al, for carrying such a flame of conviction. I am looking forward to MY path.

A beautiful Testimony of God
Before reading I didn’t know anything about Al Carroway, and I just remember seeing the book on a bookshelf at deseret book at one time and was intrigued by the title. Hearing about her journey into the church was very faith promoting. Reading this book was like listening to a good friends testimony and conversion story for about 5 hours. It’s a great book and I recommend reading it. Hearing the author read it was especially great as she does an excellent job portraying her story in her own voice. This book will certainly bring the spirit and uplift those who read it.

I'm amazed at the comfort and peace I feel.
I love this. If you feel overwhelmed, or hopeless, or alone, this book is for you. I am so thankful that I used my last credit, and don't regret it at all. (For book freaks who like to collect series... that's a big deal.) My favorite part was when she went to speak at a girls camp, with a migraine...I burst into tears....( again...) She has such a beautiful way of making you cry GOOD tears. - And she conveys emotion soooo well! I freaking loved it. (I said that already...)
