About this listen

Charles Mountford, Marquis of Tonbridge, knows he must do his duty and take a wife. But when he's left snowbound with the unconventional Miss Honor Meredith Draycott, he finds his inner rogue wants to come out to play... Merry doesn't need a man - no matter how handsome he is! Sadly society takes a different view. Charlie is more than happy to make her socially acceptable, but only if she acts publicly as his betrothed and privately as his mistress!

Charles (Duke of Tonbridge's son) stumbles upon Meredith who is a sexy, independent and wealthy Mill owner and helps her find out who is trying to kill her. But they are instantly attracted to each other and the sexual tension is pulled tight when they play strip billiards then it eventually breaks and some hot days and night ensue! However, he must do his his duty which does not lie with Meredith who is not of his class.

This book had a good plot with plenty of twists, strong characters, sexy dalliances and was well written and worth the credit.

I thought the narrator did a good job too.

I liked this book.

Repetitive, boring... couldn't finish it. I don't recommend this book. The author repeats herself. Drilling her point home. Ok, we get it. Move on please. Trying to make a point about women able to get things done without men... ok we get it, just tell the story please and thank you. :-)
