About this listen

Professor and Mrs. Moriarty tackle a case too ticklish for Sherlock Holmes to handle on his own.

James and Angelina Moriarty are settling into their new marriage and their fashionable new home - or trying to. But James has too little to occupy his mind, and Angelina has too many secrets pressing on her heart. They fear they’ll never learn to live together. Then, Sherlock Holmes comes to call with a challenging case. He suspects a prominent Harley Street specialist of committing murders for hire, sending patients home from his private hospital with deadly doses or fatal conditions. Holmes intends to investigate, but the doctor’s clientele is exclusively female. He needs Angelina’s help.

While Moriarty, Holmes, and Watson explore the alarming number of ways a doctor can murder his patients with impunity, Angelina enters into treatment with their primary suspect, posing as a nervous woman who fears her husband wants to be rid of her. Then, a hasty conclusion and an ill-considered word drive James and Angelina apart, sending her deep into danger. Now, they must find the courage to trust each other as they race the clock to win justice for the murdered women before they become victims themselves.

A very delightful series!

I loved this audiobook! It is the second is a delightful, engaging and original series based on A.C. Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories. Moriarty, or rather the Moriarty’s, and Holmes team up to stop a medical murder for profit scheme hatched by prominent Alienists that treat rich women.

Spoiler alert

I am happy the Moriartys come clean with all their secrets and work their relationship out in the end.

Very Sherlock-ian

great fun. Victorian twists and turns. Marred only by the ridiculous and halting narration when applied to Holmes. I forebear and was glad, but almost returned the book!

Moriarty takes his medicine

This was another fine tale of Sherlock Holmes nemesis Professor Moriarty and his wife. There is an insane asy,um involved and dressing up as women! Well, maybe that was just discussed. It was fun. Jill Smith was a good narrator, though Holmes voice grates on ones nerves. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Highway background

The recording was poor due to the background noises of motor vehicles, and we were in the late 1800s.
I recommend having this re-recorded in a soundproof room. Love the story. Poor sound editing.

Evil plot afoot!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wow I never thought this could actually happen. But there is a first time for everything. This evil plot as Moriarty and his new bride on an undercover mission to foil some doctors plans. Many murders committed and looked like accidental deaths.
A really good series soo far! I love it. Sherlock Holmes fans will love this series!
