About this listen

She keeps house for Inspector Witherspoon...and keeps him on his toes. Everyone's awed by his Scotland Yard successes - but they don't know about his secret weapon. No matter how messy the murder or how dirty the deed, Mrs. Jeffries' polished detection skills are up to the task...proving that behind every great man, there's a woman - and that a crime-solver's work is never done.

Sir Edmund Leggett is flattered to be stalked by a young lady - who makes herself scarce after he's murdered in cold blood. The police hold the young woman to blame. But Inspector Witherspoon has other ideas and consults his housekeeper, Mrs. Jeffries - who always gets to the heart of the matter.

Excellent series

My only critique of this book is Wiggins voice. He’s supposed to be a 20-21 year-old man, but the narrator gives him the voice of a 12-year-old.

I am enjoying the new narrator/ voice actress.

There's a new voice actor for this book series They are good but they're not the same as when you start so for me, who depend so much on my audio, I really took time to change between them.

I love the narrator

the books are well written and they're always intriguing enough that they keep you listening and guessing who the murderer is ... extremely interesting to listen to

Audible messed up BIG

Not happy! Audible took my entire series out of my library, I've lost my place! I don't know where I am in the story of the households peripheral stories, and I can't understand the narrator! It's not Mrs. Jefferies she sounds drunk, she's slurring. Her words are no longer crisp and concise. Betsy sounds like a squeaky doll. I just don't know if I can do this and I'm so disappointed in Audible for messing up!
