The narrator did as best she could with tye material given. I feel like things were very rushed, especially at the end, in a lazy loose end wrap up.

The author needs to learn how to construct her sentence structure in a better way and not rely on detailing every single little movement.

Also, I don't think they have gone to church, nor have dealt with any behind the scenes working in the religious sect. A lot of the interactions and level of care about things are very off from how it would happen in the real world. I didn't like how there was such an emphasis of him having sex with a sex worker ans NO emphasis of him having sex outside of marriage, which would of been a very big issue in the church ans could of led to more character development for him.

Overall, it was lackluster and I was trying my hardest just to finish the book.

Holy smokes! Pun intended. This was a steamy forbidden romance that had me hooked from the first sentence. It was full of more than just steam. It was full of emotion and the reality of how our actions affect our lives. We got the glimpse into the dangerous side of life and also a glimpse into redemption. The chemistry of this couple off the chains. And how he fought for her, hello, swoon! There were moments that surprised me and some people's actions who had me yelling at them. This is a must read. Especially if you are a dark romance fan. And you want steam? Oh this book has it! This narrator did a great job. I really felt pulled into the story.
