About this listen

It’s a universally known fact that omegas don’t party.

Well, most omegas don’t.

The night before I was set to be matched at the Compatibility Ceremony, I went out to party. I didn’t care that I might get in trouble because I didn’t want to waste my last night of freedom being what everyone expected me to be: good.

Everything was fine…. Until it wasn’t. The authorities showed up, and I got arrested just as my high hit. To make matters worse, I got banned from finding my match and was sent to the Omega Auctions.

A horrible pack takes me in, but their enemies have other plans for me. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, unless they’re the cops who arrested me.

Will I be able to escape the pack that ruined my life, or will I fall hard?

This is a stand-alone reverse-harem romance with swoon-worthy heroes and a heroine who has a knack for breaking rules.

Party Girl

Enjoyed the story and the performance was on point. Female lead was irritating at times but overall enjoyable.

Broken people deserve HEAs too

I really enjoyed the first in the Omega Love series but this one was even better!! While I don’t relate to everything about Whitney (the partying, drinking, or her horrible mother) there were SO many things that I *did* relate to — to see someone so broken and hurt get the love and support she deserves and come to realize she DOES deserve it… it was cathartic.

On that note, I really love the way this book handles mental health, especially PTSD/CPTSD. It was heartbreaking at times to listen to because of how relatable the pain and anxiety was (and how well the narrates portrayed it— major kudos to them) but it was also validating and really nice to see the representation. I especially liked that we got both PTSD *and* CPTSD, one from one of the MMCs and one from the FMC, and they were both treated as the debilitating and serious issue that they are without pitting the two disorders against each other. Avi’s PTSD was from his job, Whitney’s CPTSD was from lifelong abuse at the hand of her mother — both horrible things, both left mental scars, both require therapy, neither detracting from the other — and I really loved that Avi was IN therapy, encouraged Whitney to take her healing at her own pace, and as awful as it may sound I liked that we got to experience both of their PTSD-related meltdowns because no one ever goes there. Rory Miles went there and I appreciate that she didn’t shy away from the anxiety, pain, and physical symptoms that accompany it. I felt very seen.

I could go on about how good the mental health rep is all day but I don’t want to spoil any more than I already have. The pack is wonderful, I love the way she meets Hayden & Asher before everything, the way it takes a while for Trev to warm up but then they have such a strong connection. Avi is such a sweetheart. I enjoyed how playful Asher is and I loooved Hayden’s filthy mouth — idk what it is but give me a dirty-talking Beta that doesn’t cow down to alphas and I’m in love lol. The spicy stuff was amazing and very hot, but also really natural and fit with the story so well. I wanted a little more slice of life stuff but honestly the story is really well balanced. I didn’t want to stop listening.

While this one does mostly happen concurrently with the first book we do get to see a little more of what happens Post - Camilla & I’m eager to find out how the changes go with this world. Whether that’s from following more auctioned omegas or seeing how omegas match post-Camilla change, I don’t care. I’ve just really enjoyed the worldbuilding, writing, and characters.

Speaking of: Asher’s mom was an unexpected favorite supporting character, her rage room made me practically giddy lol. Seeing Reagan again made me happy too. And I hope we get more Maddie in the future 👀

Like I said the narrators did an amazing job with this one, I think both Jake & Bridget were on the top of their game this time. I really hope we get more done by them!

Love this

This is my second book by Rory and I love as much as the first.

Love the contrast to this world in this book. And it’s always a good time when Bridget and Jake narrate together.

Book one of this series was my first toe that I dipped into this world of Omegaverse & I am so glad that I did. This book definitely has a very different feel to the first one as Whitney has had a much harder life then the previous FMC.

Whitney’s past has definitely molded her into the woman she is, and she absolutely has her walls up high and in need of some strong me to knock them down. I love everything about every one of her men, they each bring something different to the group.

The narrators did such an amazing job with this audiobook. You don’t find too many books narrated duet style like this (male narrator reading all male lines, even if the chapters main voice is from the female pov), and this one is so well done.

Definitely an Omegaverse RH book to check out.

wow wow wow.

The second book is better than the first. tears laughter suspense and fantastic narration. i love that old characters have been slipped in even though its a stand alone. no cliffhangers either. i highly recommend this series. i love how the narrators play the actual parts of each character instead of tying to do the opposite sex voices on each chapter. like actual acting that makes you feel your apart of ths story. there are scenes that may trigger people with at but me personally i wasn't bothered as it showed the actual emotion of PTSD . if you don't like it you can always return it.

Drama filled

I am loving this series so far! This is book two of the series and takes place on the same time line as book one so we see the auction house as the meeting point for these characters and the lead in the previous character.

The book brings drama. While she’s an omega and she ends up on the slave block it’s so different from the previous story. You won’t feel like it’s a cookie cutter and she does amazing bringing your emotions to the surface. There are some ptsd issues and I love how they are approached and not hidden like alot of people want to do. Made this feel more real!

The narrators did an amazing! They always do beautifully at making characters come to life and giving them personality and depth!

loved

I'm really liking this Arthur. I love the complexity. I like when I could be crying or laughing in the same book. I would highly recommend this book and this author.
