About this listen

The caterer had a photographic memory. The murdered art dealer had secrets. His wife had a lover.

You’re in Provence, France, and happen to see the same painting for sale by the same artist your best friend just bought from a gallery in Seattle. What would you do?

DeeDee discovers the murdered art dealer’s body and knows she needs Jake’s help. Having a private detective as your fiancé is a good thing when you’re looking for a murderer. So is having a husky dog.

As always, plenty of mouth-watering food and recipes! This is the sixth book in the popular Northwest Cozy Mystery Series by a two-time USA Today best-selling author.

This one is my first in this series. I really enjoyed the main characters DeeDee and Jake! I also enjoyed the other characters and the story line. There’s a murder involving a gallery. And DeeDee is involved in the investigation. But she has Jake to help her and their dog Balto. There are secrets about the gallery and those who are connected to it. This was a fun mystery to solve!

I enjoyed this installment of the Northwest Cozy Mystery Series. I loved the setting and the descriptions of the meals, along with trying to figure out who did it. The recipes at the end are a nice touch. Dianne Harman can always be counted on to write a clean, entertaining story, and I love that they are short enough to finish in an evening.
