About this listen

All aboard a train bound for murder....

Kitty Underhay is looking forward to a week of long lunches and wedding planning with her husband-to-be, Captain Matthew Bryant. But the plan is derailed when he is called on to collect a former comrade-in-arms, arriving on the 15:50 from Paddington. As the train bearing Simon Travers pulls up to the platform, a piercing scream rises over the screech of its brakes. Travers is dead in his seat, a dagger in his heart.

Who gave this defenseless man a one-way ticket to the next life? And why? And could Matt’s close connection put him at risk? Only a few individuals had access to Travers’s compartment, and Kitty must find out which of these seemingly benign passengers is, in fact, a cross-country killer.

But when Kitty’s prime suspect, the travelling salesman with no merchandise, is found murdered, she is stumped - until she makes the connection between the two victims and realizes that this murderer has an even more deadly destination in mind! Can she stop them, before they strike again? Or will Kitty’s own next stop be the graveyard?

A pitch-perfect, and totally gripping, Golden-Age historical, cozy mystery! Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, T.E. Kinsey, and Lee Strauss.

The Miss Underhay Mystery series was previously narrated by Alex Tregear, who is now beginning a new adventure as she trains to be an occupational therapist.

Really enjoyed this book ,I’ve enjoyed the whole series so far ,this one had many twists and turns and kept me guessing till the end. The narrator was very good also.

Another great book by Helena Dixon

I like the reader much better with this performance than the previous person. The original reader was still the best, though. Enjoy listening to these books while I drive. Thank you

I love the stories of Kitty Underhay. A feel good cosy mystery that keeps you wondering who did it. I struggled a bit with the new voice actor but soon got into it again.

Cute and cosy

Love Miss Underhay!

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Great plot and writing. The Narrator of this book (Karen Cass) gives a very good performance, and she is much preferred over Polly Edsall (the Narrator of the previous book).

Another great adventure

Well written and well-narrated.

Nice progression in romance and the addition of Bertie provides some lightness to the tale. Looking forward to the next one and the inevitable confrontation with E H.

Great progress

The newest narrator, Karen Cass, has been wonderful. I have heard her in other audible books. She makes the characters come to life!

I miss the first and original narrator very much. I much prefer Karen Cass to the narrator of the previous book.

Love Karen Cass as narrator

I am relatively new to the series but grew fond of Alex Treager as narrator. I applaud the switch to Karen Crass as narrator starting with this story. She is a seemless fit and continued to represent my visions of your characters that I developed with Alex Treager. I was saddened that I wasn't going to be able to continue the series after a Murder at the Wedding. I'm once again excited to be able to carry on with Kitty and the gang. Thank you.

Thank you to Helena Dixon for listening to our thoughts on the last narrator! I've enjoyed Karen Cass immensely in another series and, since Alex is gone for good, Karen is a much better fit to take over for Miss Underhay. The mystery was excellent too!

Much better narration!
