About this listen

A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder.

Three books! Bloodbaths and Banana Cake (Murder in the Mix 7) New York Cheesecake Chaos (Murder in the Mix 8) Lethal Lemon Bars (Murder in the Mix 9) *A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore* All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order. My name is Lottie Lemon and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owners impending doom. It turns out, everything I thought I knew about my relationship with the man of my dreams was a lie, so when I’m asked to cater sweet treats to a party honoring a very important judge, of course, I dive right in to get my mind off of things. But when I set up the dessert buffet and spot the ghost of a girl I was accused of killing just last month, I realize this night isn’t going to go off without a homicide in its giddy-up. Try as I might to stop it, another murder strikes our community, and not only am I determined to solve this crime, but I’m determined to heal my broken heart, too. In both cases, it seems I’ve bitten off far more cookie than I can chew. Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see the dead—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with. Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder.

The AI voice seriously hampers the book. It’s hard to tell who is speaking and words run together.

Loving the series, but I can’t stand that Lottie is with Everett and not Noah. I and hoping that she will get back with Noah or at least have her having both of the guys the love between them is so intense.
The laughs that the sisters share between them are super and then the parts you want to cry about.
If the murders in town don’t stop there won’t be anyone left. On to the next book.

I didn’t give a high review for the performance because it’s AI. The overall plot is not very appealing, now dating the judge is not too interesting, I skipped this book. Hopefully the storyline improoves. it would have been best if Noah would have started to experience the ghosts when he is with Lottie.
