About this listen

All Kea ever wanted was for someone to truly love her. She thought she’d found the man of her dreams in Jaquon, but sitting home waiting for him every night, she realizes she’s found a man whose infidelity knows no boundaries.

Derrick catches his high-maintenance girlfriend, Zacariah, cheating once again, and finally sees that he should have never given her a second chance after her first affair.

When Derrick breaks up with Zacariah, he rushes to Jaquon’s house for support from his best friend. Kea is there alone, and before they know it, their mutual pity party turns into some intense passion.

Knowing their first time should have been the last, the two of them can’t help but start a smoking hot affair. Zacariah’s not having it, though. When she discovers the two of them in bed together, she’s determined to get revenge against the woman she believes stole Derrick from her.

Zacariah plans to crash a party at Derrick’s house, but she’s armed with more than just the news of the affair. The bombshell truth that she’s prepared to reveal about Derrick and Kea could be more than any of them are prepared to handle.

First of all, I didn't enjoy the characters, they were stereotypical of what people think of black folks and I just couldn't get with it. I was trying to swallow and get into it but it was frustrating and beyond soap opera than the ending "blank". Is it another book or did I miss something, I just do not have else to say.

Totally Shocked

Okay so I'm guessing there is a part 2 to this considering the ending. I was pleasantly surprised by the multiple stories told and the plot twists were not necessarily predictable. Good book

This could have been so much new if the narrator was better. I almost called and asked for a refund. It was hard to follow. I was glad when it ended. 🙄

Horrible narrator 🙄

I honestly enjoyed the book and loved how the story flowed; I admit it had potential and kept me on my toes, but overall I wish the performance was a little better. She did a good job with some parts of the performance, but when it was time for her to narrate Essence it would bother me so badly, because out of all the women in the story, I couldn’t understand why Essence had to be the only one who sounded like a man? Other than that she didn’t do bad. Also I felt like everyone in this book was moving foul; whether it was intentional or not with how they were moving, each person got what they deserved in this book. Life teaches you a valuable lesson in some of the most cruelest ways, so always watch how and what you do. Overall the book is worth the read. I look forward to reading part two to see how everyone moves on in the next installment!

So I had an extra credit to use before I postponed my account. I scanned through some titles and chose this one. Once I started I listened straight through with no breaks, no sleep. I decided to suffer tomorrow with lack of sleep because I was caught up deep. I LOVED it.

Girllll!
