About this listen

Several years have passed, but Sylvia McMillan still can’t run and hide from the truth that continues to tear at her soul. Her love for Jonathan Taylor, her ex-friend’s husband, remains. Jonathan has moved on, though. In less than six months, he plans to watch his new bride cascade down the aisle as they join hands in holy matrimony. He’s not about to let Sylvia’s slickness derail him again - but then again, how can he resist the one woman who is willing to honor every single one of his wishes?

As the lines of their so-called friendship are crossed again, Sylvia and Jonathan begin to wonder if their future together is destined. While there are plenty of people standing in line to prove them wrong, one woman in particular prepares to make things right. Dana is now a bitter ex-wife and ex-best friend. There is a price to pay for Jonathan leaving her high and dry, and his involvement with Sylvia, again, will deliver major consequences.

Good series.

The story was very good. The narration had a lot of repeating of words and sentences. Some to correct tone and words.

Good

I was really hopeful that Sylvia and Jonathan would get back together. There really was a twist I. the plot. Brittany definitely gave the shock of a lifetime. But as it end I was excited about more to come.

Overall ok

The narrator did a lot of correcting during the reading of the book which is not a good thing. They kept starting over in sections until they got it right and didn’t delete the wrong parts. Was kind of annoying!

Apologize to Lisa

First off, Jonathan is too malleable to be this “boss” he’s made out to be. How did he let Jaylin and Sylvia get in his head about Lisa, without doing his own research? He could’ve easily hired a private detective to get to the bottom of things. He straight up did Lisa wrong, and never apologized to her. I don’t blame Lisa for her behavior toward him at the end. And Sylvia, don’t even get me started! She is not the heroine of this story. She is a trash friend, disloyal, and delusional. Her and Jonathan are not deserving of a happily ever after. They both need therapy.

Love the possibilities

Brenda is the master of taking your feelings and opinions on a roller coaster ride of emotions first you dislike the characters then you begin to understand them which will change your opinion. I love the end of the book leaves room for the possibility of the continuation of the story

edit the narration better next time

what stood out to me most was the bad editing job... the storyline was good, but I couldn't get past how Noone edited out the redone lines that were done wrong. the narrator did a good job though.

Sylvia is not a heroine!

I want to like this series but find so many contradictions with the characters. I know no one is perfect, however there doesn’t seem to be one character in this series that has any decent morales. In as much so that the author seems to continuously make Sylvia out to be the protagonist when in fact she is the “she devil“! She has no loyalty to her friend, Dana and is just outright disrespectful of anyone else happiness except her own. She is too consumed with Jonathan to the point where she is pathetic. I would describe Sylvia’s character as a slut and proud narcissist. It’s like one minute she is saving the day and the next she is doing some slutty disloyal act. All the things she has done would make me dislike Jonathan’s character if he were to continue on with her. Please do not write a part 3 because no one wants to see Sylvia and Jonathan run away happily ever after into the sunset.

The story is good

This story is probably a great book. I just could finish it. This has become my first DNF. The continuous repeated sentences, fixed enthusiasm while reading and the different pronunciations on characters names was too much for me. Maybe I’ll just buy the physical book.
