FBI Agent Carol Ann Johnson and Captain Smith Hardgrove of the Chicago Police department find themselves right in the middle of a mystery when a body is found floating in Carol Ann's apartment complex swimming pool. While being interrogated the two realize they have an attraction for one another and plan a first date but it becomes the first date from hell when while at the restaurant masked men storm the restaurant and kidnap them both.
