About this listen

Death was just the beginning.

In a world where dragons blacken the skies and ancient magic runs deep, one man holds the key to salvation—but he can't remember who he is.

Stone awakens in a grave with no memory, in a realm being torn apart by the tyrannical King Arken Shadowborn and his army of dragon riders. But Stone is more than just another lost soul in the war-ravaged Worforgon. He is the prophecy made flesh, the one destined to end Shadowborn's reign of terror.

Haunted by fragments of memories he can't piece together and powers he barely understands, Stone joins forces with the fierce thief Ceres and the enigmatic assassin Adler. Together, they must brave the treacherous Mountain of the Mystics and unlock ancient secrets buried with the fabled sorceresses—the Majestic Wilds—before Shadowborn's dark dragons reduce their world to ashes.

But how can Stone save a kingdom when he can't even remember his own past?

Perfect for fans of Lord of the Rings, Mistborn, and the Witcher, this epic fantasy series combines pulse-pounding action with deep mythology and unforgettable characters.

The complete 5-book saga is available now. Begin the adventure with Mystics on the Mountain and witness the epic conclusion in War of the Mystics.

Interesting story but poorly performed

The story premise was interesting but the prose was somewhat prosaic. There was some issues with continuity of details with the main characters being stranded without money, supplies even cloaks then suddenly having all those things without any explanation of how they appeared. There is also a shift in and out of dialect in the dialog that is distracting. These are minor things compared to the AI generated voice. It is lacking much expression and does not change tone or timber for different characters. I found myself zoning out a bit at times. I sure miss the use of a voice actor or actors. AI has a long way to go before replacing the real thing.

Good story, bad narration

Story line was great. However, virtual voice was horrid. It distracts from the story. Would have liked to follow the story, but can’t listen to the “voice” anymore.
