Sure, if you don't like the narrator's voice, then I understand. But what's not to like about the book itself? Everything is there. I don't know if there is any aspect of Greek mythology that this didn't cover. Having said that, I didn't hear the author's personal opinion about it a lot. Just mostly facts, stories, and the dram from the Greek myths. And hey, that was what I was looking for anyway.

These myths are great. The entire glossary of Greek gods and goddesses in here, as well as well-known heroes like Heracles (yes, it's not Hercules in the Greek version that the Romans stole). The enemies, monsters, the underworld... there is so much in here. Give it a try, especially if you have a credit to get it for free.

Great myths

While I will listen to the whole thing. It will be begrudgingly so. The myths are torn apart from their original stories as individuals only. So that you do not hear the myth as a whole but in pieces. Also the narrative is done in a way that makes it feel robotic with how it was read. I was unable to tell the difference between the myth story and what was the analytical history connecting it to the people. When there was a pause or space it felt odd and as if there was an issue with the recording. They only use I’ll be using it for is as cross reference to see what was changed versus other readings of the myths.
I am very disappointed in how this was portrayed with the plethora of information at their disposal. I listened to two history lectures that were better at telling the myths than this book.

Robotic at best

The narrator of this work is so terrible as to make this unlistenable. I've never had to return a book in nearly a decade of listening, but this was a first.

It may be a very failed attempt at having AI read a book. or possibly the person reading has no idea how to actually speak English, and only knows pronounciation (which also fluctuates wildly). Random pauses in the middle of sentences, complete disregard for punctuation, and emphasizing words at random make it impossible to understand what the author was trying to convey.

The only thing this was good for was playing for my kids so they could laugh at it.
