About this listen

Quillan Sullivan lost his twin brother two decades ago, a tragedy he never fully experienced due to his unusual ability to see and talk to Riley when no one else can. He believes this "gift" is a fluke, until the haughty, vainglorious love of his life, Estella, returns after several years abroad, and rips his world apart.

Estella Broussard loathes Quillan. He's the last person on Earth she'd ever bless with her presence. To her great dismay, he alone holds the key to achieving her deepest desire. She will do anything to reach her aims, no matter the warnings...no matter the cost to Quillan.

Nerys guides Finn and Aleksandr on their mission to find Anasofiya and bring her home. Finn accepts her help, on the condition she keep no secrets. She relays what she knows...all except the visions her old companion has sent her, regarding a terrifying menace to the Deschanels back home: A necromancer has emerged, and this ominous knowledge has fallen into the wrong hands.

The threads of fate weave the Deschanels and Sullivans down perilous paths, as a centuries-old warning emerges: Seduction to sinners. A legacy in splinters. Beware, the myths of midwinter.

Awesome series with fantastic narration

Another fantastic addition to the series. Once again the story pulls you right back into the twisted and unique world of the Daschanels, Sullivans, Quinlans and all of those around them.

It's a series that is definitley worth your time and credit.

This book is no different than the previous books in the series. They are all well written, creative, complex and very addicting. It has a great storyline and fantastic characters. Once you start the series you are pulled into this interesting, unusual and magical world that the author has created. It is not a series you can just jump right into, it has a large cast of characters and numerous intertwining storylines. As I have said before there are 2 ways you can read the series depending on what you prefer either- intended progression of the storyline or chronological progression. Either way this is the 6th book in the series and if you try to start here you will be completely lost.

I would love it if this series was turned into a cable T.V. series. I don't watch much T.V. but I would absolutely make an exception if this was turned into a series.

As usual LC Kane's narration is fantastic. She is the voice of this series. You know each time you start one of the books the characters are all going to be there and sound just how you expect. It's like visiting with old friends. She has a voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice smooth pace. Great character voices with a smooth transition between characters. Her tone and delivery are perfect. She brings the characters, their emotions and the story to life. Very enjoyable.

Another good installment to this series

As I stated in my review of book 5, you should start at the beginning. I ended up going back and picking the books up as eBooks so I could catch up on the series. I definitely like this author's writing style and I felt the narrator's voice is well suited to the characters. I will definitely look for more in this series.

Great Series!

Myths of Midwinter is Book 6 in The House of Crimson & Clover Series and is not a standalone. I strongly advise reading/listening to the previous books first. With a great storyline and fascinating characters, this series just might be my latest addiction. Consider me hooked! LC Kane as narrator is very engaging and is a perfect match for this audiobook. Myths of Midwinter was a great listening experience and I would definitely recommend it.

A great read!

The threads of fate weave the Deschanels and Sullivans down perilous paths, as a centuries-old warning emerges: Seduction to sinners...
A legacy in splinters...
Beware, the myths of midwinter...

Such a fantastic, interesting addition to this series! The author sure knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Well-written read!

A book that is worthy of your credit! In fact, this whole series should be listened and not only read!

The narrator did an excellent job of narrating and bringing this book to life.

Interesting story. Weird narration.

I received this audiobook for free from the author / narrator / publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

Even though this book is currently the last book of the series, and thus I was expecting it to be confusing regarding the setting and characters; it wasn't really very difficult. After spending some time with the initial chapters and doing some research about previous books of the series, I had a good idea of what the story is about.

Midway through the book, the story lost steam though and listening to it became a chore. The narrator's voice didn't help. The narration wasn't bad, but I didn't really like it. I'm not exactly sure what kept bugging me about it. The voice was a little high pitched and didn't quite match the characters.

Towards the end, the story picks up speed and ends on a promising note.
