Falling for a man in uniform can be hard

Fleeing to Seattle to weather a broken heart, Lindy Kyle is unprepared for a roommate like Rush Callaghan. Strong, sensitive and sexy, the temporarily dry-docked naval officer is everything she's ever dreamed of in a man…in a husband.

But Rush places duty to his country above all else. Though he and Lindy are swept away on a tide of passion, he is called back to sea.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder—but will their marriage survive their partings?

Beautiful love story

I enjoyed listening to this book. it gives a whole new perspective on what it is to be a military wife. it opens up the dialog. Is it for everyone, maybe not, but if you are lucky enough to find your soulmate, perhaps is worth it to try.

Sadly disappointed with this new Series

Thought I was listening to a 1960's period piece and the story developed too slowly for me.

Not clean at all

I expected this book to be clean like other books by Debbie Macomber. I haven’t listened to a lot of her books, but I thought she wrote much more clean fiction. The storyline has so much potential, but it isn’t developing beyond repeated references to the female’s hard nipples, soft breasts, and how each of the main characters is struggling to hold their desires in place. Very shallow so far and disappointing.

Dumb story

Story written for teenagers—don’t waste time with this book. Unbelievable that author would center story around a naive and stupid girl.
