Vampires never rest, and neither does Harry Keogh, the world's greatest vampire hunter, the Necroscope, the man who can talk to the dead. Right now, he's desperately searching for his wife and son, who disappeared in the midst of Harry's war against the undead monsters that plague mankind. Others will to carry on that fight until the Necroscope has been reunited with his beloved family.

But it's not that easy to leave the vampire war behind. The bloodsuckers know that the Necroscope is their deadliest enemy and will do anything to destroy him.

Superb!

I am a huge fan of the works of Brian Lumley. With the combination of great writing and excellent narration, I thoroughly enjoyed the lost years.

Not for someone unfamiliar with the Necroscope series. Every book is fantastic, if you enjoy the author’s aspect of both vampires, as well as how and who a necroscope is.

If you have not ventured down the path, but want to have a firm grasp of what is entailed in this book, I strongly suggest starting with the first book, Necroscope, and see if this is a series you want to follow.

If you love horror, I can say that each book explains something unique about every creature of the night. Without being armed with this knowledge this book will leave you very confused.😲

Another classic

An excellent way to shed light on the lycan strain. Characters are compelling and Brian’s wordplay is always unbeatable. And the vocal performance is flawless and always draws you in.

Amazing Listen!

I read this book back when it first came out, and it was finally time for a reread, aka Listen. The story itself is great, but Joshua Saxon's reading of it REALLY brings it to life. Not only is the audio and voices spot on, when on the go I sped it up 1.5x and quality didn't drop at all. The voice was crisp, and not high-pitched that happens when you speed up some books.

Overall this was an extremely fun book with great audio recorded by Mr. Saxon.

Thanks!

Lumley and Saxon, perfection!

Having been a fan of Master Lumley's work for over 30 years, it is a joy to hear his words and works come to life in the hands of Joshua Saxon. To know that Brian and Silky Lumley have entrusted Joshua enough with these books is one thing, to hear them is another.

the cadence of joshua's voice is exquisite, the tones, the vocal stylings, the masterfully constructed breathing you get to imagine it took to say some of the sentences constructed by Master Lumley...."the French franc fluctuates" is a classic that Joshua nailed.

the tales here are a continuation of the Masters world of imagination, a world so uniquely his own but gives even more life to his collective body of works.

just out in the kettle, enjoy the hours of Joshua giving you his vocal skills and know that this is how you read Master Lumley's creations, vas if they were your own and with a sense of satisfaction at the end, knowing there is another volume to come!

Amazing

It's great to be back with Harry. I always felt his story ended too quickly.

LUMLEY'S FINEST WORK

For those familiar with Brian Lumley's NECROSCOPE & VAMPIRE WORLD series, THE LOST YEARS is truly Brian's most intricate work.
The reader of this saga has discovered Brian's talent get better and better as the series unfolds, and with THE LOST YEARS, Mr. Lumley is truly at the top of his game.
BUT WAIT...THIS IS ONLY "VOLUME 1"...and his amazing LOST YEARS story has yet to be fully told.

Use your next credit on Volume 2 when it drops.
TRUST ME.

Likewise, when it come to ever increasing talent, JOSHUA SAXON'S vocal performance is just superb!
I can think of non other better suited to convey Lumley's works to the audiobook lover.
He is truly THE BEST.
