Publisher's summary

It had been so long since she had someone in her life. She thought he was amazing. The perfect guy and the perfect date. His calculated game of seduction and deception worked flawlessly. After luring her into his death trap, he quietly slid out the door and disappeared yet again without a trace.

What clues are hidden in a picture perfect murder? Complex obscure clues woven into intricate crime scenes challenge Mac McRyan, all while a warped mind taunts him and stalks another innocent soul. As time relentlessly ticks down, Mac is forced to fight not only his own instincts, but a deceptively treacherous killer in his most mind bending and dangerous case yet.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Roger Stelljes has crafted another addictive pulse-pounding thriller filled with his trademark twists and turns. Vince Flynn described Roger Stelljes and his series as "Absorbing. Intense. Gripping. Stelljes is a powerful new thriller voice."

Book 7 was no disappointment.

Interesting twist...as they all are. On to book 8 next. The stories are good, characters are good and the narrator is excellent as well.

Good story. Boring reader

I really like the story. The reader simply never got to point where I didn't know he was as just reading words.

A fast paced, character driven, electrifying!

The McRyan series is addicting! And “Next Girl on List” is good suspenseful mystery in the police procedural format with Mac and Dara heading the investigation! I find the stories to be quick, engaging, and interesting. I flew through this book in a few days. But why in every single book in this series must there be a recap of McRyan his merrits, things he did, why he became a cop. The repetition of facts is there but better than the 1st few books. Overall fast paced, character driven, electrifying!

Thrilling new discovery

I'm always excited to find a new Mystery/Thriller series and this one fits the bill. I wish that I got to read it from the first book on, but honestly did not feel like I missed anything by starting with the sixth book. I plan to pick up earlier books in the series and catch up. Definitely recommend. Solid story with good pacing and not everything is as expected.

Everything that's great about a mystery series!

This is not my first McRyan mystery but it lives up to its predecessors.

This mystery was intense. In. Tense. McRyan was his usual alpha male self. The cat and mouse game was really well-written, albeit unsettling. (The bad guy in this listen was seriously deranged.)

The beauty of these stories (and you only need to listen to one book to know) is how well the author blends McRyan's police life with his social life. Our main character is multi-dimensional and complex with a great criminal mind, combined with a warm and agreeable personality. That's good stuff!

The narrator brings McRyan to life! He delivers on everything you love about a great mystery.

I don't know how many books are in this series but I'm so glad I get to find out.

Great new to me series

This is the first book I’ve listened to in this series and I really enjoyed it. It held my attention from beginning to end. Obviously, it’s a stand alone since it’s the first I’ve listened to, however, because I liked it so much, I intend to go back and start from the beginning of the series. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed

loved it

I love this series. I don't like all the love scenes though and the books do not need them.

A Great Detective Mystery/Thriller

What made the experience of listening to Next Girl on the List the most enjoyable?

A great story, and wonderfully smooth narration by Johnny Peppers. The narrator has a clear voice and a smooth style that makes for easy listening.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mac Ryan - he is the star of the book and it shows.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really can't pick a favourite scene - there were so many excellent scenes in this book

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to so much - but the time the book takes is just too much. Read over 3 evenings - I didn't want to put it down.

Any additional comments?

The same high standard and good entertainment value as the previous books in the series.Highly recommended.I received a free copy of this audio book at my request in exchange for an honest review.
